What counts as Spring Branch in this guide?
For this guide, Spring Branch is the part of west Houston north of the Katy Freeway (I-10) and south of US 290 and Hempstead Road, from Beltway 8 east to roughly Loop 610. That's the same line we use in our other Spring Branch guides, and it takes in the small cities of Spring Valley Village and Hilshire Village.
We leave out the Memorial City and CityCentre districts along the freeway, because our Memorial happy hour guide covers them. All eight picks here sit on Long Point Road, Witte Road, Wirt Road or Bingle Road. Our Spring Branch area page has the bigger picture.
How we chose
We kept only bars and restaurants inside our boundary whose own website or official menu showed a current Spring Branch address and a posted happy hour. We checked every site in November 2026. Places that don't publish their happy hour online were left out, even ones we like, and so were spots whose deals we could only find in older articles or on third-party listings. That left eight happy hours, each on an official page you can check yourself.
