Best Brunch in Katy, TX: 9 Spots for Weekend Mornings

Date Published

Illustration of brunch Katy style: mimosa, pancakes and eggs under the Houston night skyline

In Katy, brunch can start at 6:30 in the morning and end with eggs Benedict served on a pupusa. Between those two points you'll find crêpes under chandeliers, a brisket breakfast on a patio that spills onto a lawn, and a steakhouse that turns into a brunch room every weekend.

This is our shortlist of the best brunch in Katy: nine places we'd send a friend, each checked against its own official website. It's built for real weekend decisions: who takes reservations, who runs a waitlist, where the patio is, and what to order when you get there.

What we mean by Katy

Katy sprawls well beyond its city limits, so we drew a clear line. Every pick on this list has a Katy mailing address in one of the four Katy ZIP codes (77449, 77450, 77493 and 77494). That covers Old Town Katy, Cinco Ranch, LaCenterra, the Grand Parkway corridor and the stretch of I-10 around Katy Mills and Mason Road. We left out Fulshear, Cypress and the Energy Corridor, even where they're a short drive away. For the wider area, start with our Katy area guide.

The quick list

  • Earliest start: Snooze, open from 6:30 a.m. every day.
  • Best for a reservation: North Italia or Astor's Table, both of which take bookings.
  • Best for families: Dish Society, whose patio opens onto the LaCenterra lawn.
  • Best Bloody Mary situation: The Toasted Yolk, with a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar.
  • Best Tex-Mex brunch: Lupe Tortilla on the Grand Parkway.
  • Best for something sweet: Sweet Paris, for crêpes and frozen mimosas.
  • Best with a dog: Another Broken Egg Cafe, which lists a pet-friendly patio.

How we chose

We looked for places with a real brunch identity: a dedicated brunch or breakfast menu, weekend hours that make sense, and at least one dish worth crossing Katy for. Every pick had to show a current Katy location and hours on its own official website in October 2026. We dropped places whose official sites no longer list a Katy location, and places that only serve lunch and dinner.

Hours and menus change. Treat every schedule here as "typically," and check the restaurant's site before you go. A note on mimosas: none of our picks advertises bottomless mimosas on its official site, so we don't promise any. Carafes, bottles and frozen mimosas are the Katy norm.

LaCenterra and Cinco Ranch

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is Katy's brunch headquarters. Park once and you can walk between four of our picks.

Dish Society

LaCenterra, 2643 Commercial Center Blvd. · Southern farm-to-table · counter service

Dish Society is the easy weekend answer for families and mixed groups. You order at the counter, find a table, and let the kids loose: the restaurant says its Katy patio sprawls into the LaCenterra lawn. The brunch menu leans Texan, with Ranch Style Eggs built on chopped Texas brisket and a crispy corn tostada, plus shrimp and smoked gouda grits. The buttermilk waffle is a weekends-only item, and you can add fried chicken tenders.

Good to know: Dish Society typically opens at 7 a.m. daily, and its weekend social hour runs in the late afternoon if brunch turns into a long one.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

LaCenterra, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Suite K100 · creative breakfast · open from 6:30 a.m.

Snooze is Katy's early-bird brunch. It typically opens at 6:30 a.m. every day and stays open until 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, which gives you the longest weekend brunch window on this list. The menu runs from classics to Benedicts, pancakes and French toast, with mimosas and morning cocktails.

Insider tip: you can swap the hash browns or toast on your plate for any pancake, so you don't have to choose between sweet and savory.

North Italia

LaCenterra, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Suite A150 · Italian · reservations

North Italia serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, typically from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it takes reservations, which makes it the low-stress choice for a birthday or a group. Order the Breakfast Carbonara, a pasta topped with a poached egg and pancetta, or Eggs in Purgatory with spicy marinara. Mimosas and Bellinis come by the glass or by the bottle, and the Tuscan Bloody Mary arrives with a charcuterie garnish.

Parking: the restaurant points you to the surface lot out front or the blue parking garage.

Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café

LaCenterra, 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Suite S120 · French crêperie · open from 8 a.m.

Sweet Paris is the brunch for people who want dessert first. Chandeliers, an open crêpe kitchen and a Parisian-café look make it a favorite for showers and girlfriends' brunches. Go for a Nutella crêpe or one with Argentine dulce de leche, and pair it with a frozen mimosa. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are on every menu.

The feel-good order: under its "Eat Here, Feed There" program, Sweet Paris says it donates a meal to children in need every time someone orders an Allison's Parfait, a Truffled Caprese or a Lemon & Sugar crêpe.

Black Walnut Kitchen & Bar

Cinco Ranch, 23233 Cinco Ranch Blvd. · American · weekend brunch 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Black Walnut sits on Cinco Ranch Boulevard near the Grand Parkway, a short drive from LaCenterra. Its weekend brunch typically runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant's own suggestion is the one we'd follow: Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with a Grand Mimosa. The Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict is the savory move.

Good to know: there's a covered, heated patio, and on weekdays an early-bird happy hour typically runs from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

The Grand Parkway and I-10

The Toasted Yolk Cafe

Grand Parkway, 98 W Grand Pkwy S, Suite 100 · scratch-kitchen brunch · open daily 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Toasted Yolk is built for brunch with friends. Its signature is the Arnold, the restaurant's answer to eggs Benedict, served on a fresh-baked biscuit. The hashbrown casserole is the side that steals the show, and the bar pours mimosa flights and runs a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar.

Insider tip: The Toasted Yolk doesn't take reservations, but you can join its digital waitlist from your phone before you leave the house.

Lupe Tortilla

Grand Parkway, 703 W Grand Pkwy S · Tex-Mex · opens 9 a.m. on weekends

Lupe Tortilla opens two hours early on Saturdays and Sundays, typically at 9 a.m., and its brunch menu is the most Texan meal on this list. The surprise is the Benedict section: the barbacoa, smoked salmon and Florentine Benedicts are built on a pupusa instead of an English muffin, with chile-lime hollandaise. There's also chilaquiles, breakfast nachos and a praline pancake stack. To drink, it's a Frozen Mimosa-Rita or a Bloody Maria.

Best for: a big family table that wants fajitas and breakfast at the same time. More Tex-Mex is in our best Tex-Mex in Houston guide.

Another Broken Egg Cafe

Gardens of Westgreen, 20950 Katy Fwy · Southern-inspired brunch · weekends 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Another Broken Egg sits on the Katy Freeway near Westgreen, closer to the Houston side of Katy. It typically opens at 7 a.m. every day and stays open until 3 p.m. on weekends. The menu leans Southern, with Benedicts, brunch cocktails, spiked cold brew and a full bar.

Good to know: the cafe lists a pet-friendly patio and a waitlist you can join online, and it has vegetarian and gluten-friendly menus.

Mason Road

Astor's Table

Mason Road, 1590 S Mason Rd · chef-driven steakhouse · "Brunch Social" Wednesday to Sunday

Astor's Table is a steakhouse by night and a brunch room by day. Its "Brunch Social" typically runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and the restaurant recommends making a reservation. The cooking draws on South African and Latin influences, and the menus are unusually broad for a brunch spot: there are separate vegetarian, halal and exotic-meat menus.

Best for: a celebration brunch when someone in the group wants steak.

Save this: the LaCenterra brunch walk

LaCenterra is compact enough to turn brunch into a morning out. Here's how we'd do it.

  1. Arrive early. Snooze opens at 6:30 a.m., so it's the place to beat the weekend rush.
  2. Book the big table. For 10 a.m. or later, reserve at North Italia so nobody's waiting on the sidewalk.
  3. Let the kids run. Dish Society's patio opens onto the lawn.
  4. Dessert stop. Walk to Sweet Paris for a crêpe to share, and order one of its meal-donating items.
  5. Park smart. Use the blue parking garage and walk between all four.

Before you go: a quick checklist

  • Check hours on the restaurant's official site the morning you go. Brunch windows differ, and some places open earlier on weekends.
  • Reservations: North Italia and Astor's Table take them. The Toasted Yolk and Another Broken Egg use waitlists you can join from your phone.
  • Bringing the dog? Another Broken Egg lists a pet-friendly patio; The Toasted Yolk says many of its locations allow dogs on the patio, so call first.
  • Gluten-free or vegetarian? Sweet Paris, The Toasted Yolk and Another Broken Egg all publish dietary options.
  • Don't count on bottomless mimosas. Look for carafes and bottles instead.
  • Fun fact for the drive home: Kolache Factory, the Czech pastry chain, is headquartered in Katy.
