This dojo has a warm and supportive atmosphere, and the families and kids here are genuinely kind and welcoming. It really feels like a community. Sensei Ramon is a world-class Goju-Ryu master who regularly travels across the U.S. and internationally to train high-level athletes and coach-level instructors. We feel very fortunate to be able to learn from him at the headquarters. Within just six months of starting training, both of my children earned their first gold medals. Over time, we’ve seen steady growth not only in their skills, but also in their confidence, discipline, and focus. They’ve learned to stay calm under pressure, build lasting friendships, show respect, and work as part of a team. We’re very grateful to Sensei Ramon, Sensei Osako, and Sensei Adam for their guidance and support. We’re truly glad to be part of this dojo.

Sensei, I'm writing to thank you for everything. When I first came to your workshop in San Antonio, I was so excited. Then my parents signed me up for your summer camp in Houston, and it was even better. Over 75 hours, you helped me with my Sepai Kata and Kihon. What I really loved was that even though I wasn't on your national team, you still made me feel like I belonged. It felt so good to know you believed in me. When you invited me to the USA Nationals, it was a dream come true, and winning gold in Kata was all because of you. You were right there with me every step of the way. After that, earning two bronze medals at the Junior Olympics was such a huge moment. I'm so glad my parents and I found you. I love that I can still train with you over Zoom and whenever I get the chance to see you in person. Last weekend's seminar was amazing. It was a special opportunity to train with the Sato Sensei and Masusa Sensei from Japan. I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of it. It's a memory I'll always have. Thank you again for everything, Sensei. I can't wait to see what we do next. Kaia

The Traditional Karate Center is a warm and welcoming pace to learn Karate and help you get or stay fit. Sensai Ramon is an excellent and caring instructor, he takes time to nurture each student and help them make progress in their training. When I started I weighed over 230 pounds. Karate has become a primary part of my weight loss and fitness training. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always easy, but it is well worth the effort.

Years ago I studied a traditional Okinawan style of karate called Uechi-ryū. As I wanted to get back into a True Okinawan style of karate, similar to what I had studied. I found the Traditional Karate Center located in Sugar Land TX, where the school teaches the true art of an Okinawan style of karate called Goju-ryu There are many “karate” schools out there that offer different styles of karate in which they may have been water down or altered away from the traditional karate form, and are geared more towards show competition rather than actual art of self-defense . In my opinion, you loose out in not learning the traditional style of karate as it was initially intended. If you are looking for a school that teaches a True Traditional Okinawan style of karate, look no further. Sensei Ramon Veras, owner of Traditional Karate Center is one of the most knowledgeable instructors of this form of Karate. His passion of this art directly translates through his professional teaching skills, not just in showing the forms of this karate style but also in teaching the actual application of the forms, giving the student a full and true understanding of what he or she is learning. I am very excided to be a part of this school, I am so impressed on how Sensei Ramon Veras relates to children in his training method, that I have also enrolled my 9 year old grandson as well. This school is extremely family oriented offering classes for both kids and adults. If you are interested in learning a traditional form of karate, I highly recommend that you check out this school.
