- Best Happy Hours in Clear Lake, TX: 9 Deals From Bay to Freeway
The best happy hours in Clear Lake are split between the water and the freeway. Tookie’s Seafood in Seabrook and Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille in Clear Lake Shores bring the bay views, while Webster’s West Bay Area Boulevard and Gulf Freeway hold the cheapest beer, the earliest starts, the latest finishes and the only deal on this list that runs every day of the week. Every pick below was checked against its own official website or menu in November 2026.
Here’s the line to send the group chat: in Clear Lake, a raw oyster at happy hour costs less than a dollar. Tookie’s Seafood’s weekday menu lists raw oysters at 89 cents each, and that’s before you get to the shot named after the Astros.
The quick list
- Cheapest oysters: Tookie’s Seafood in Seabrook, 89 cents each raw, Monday to Friday, typically 3 to 6 p.m.
- Cocktails with a marina view: Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille in Clear Lake Shores.
- Half-price dozen oysters and $5 frozens: BB’s Tex-Orleans on West Bay Area Boulevard.
- The only daily happy hour on this list: Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Webster, typically 4 to 7 p.m. in the bar, weekends included.
- Tex-Mex margaritas until 6:30: Lupe Tortilla, $1.50 off Original margaritas at the bar on weekdays.

- For beer made down the street: Saloon Door Brewing in Webster on Taco Tuesday.
How we chose and where Clear Lake ends
For this guide, Clear Lake means the communities around the lake itself: Houston’s Clear Lake neighborhood along Bay Area Boulevard and NASA Parkway, plus Webster, Nassau Bay, El Lago, Taylor Lake Village, Seabrook and Clear Lake Shores. We left out Kemah and League City, and the Baybrook Mall area toward Friendswood, because they have their own scenes and guides.
Every pick had to publish a current happy hour on its own website or official menu, with an address and current hours showing it is open. Several well-known Clear Lake spots didn’t make it because their happy hour was only in an image we couldn’t confirm, or because they don’t advertise one at all. Chain picks were included only when the location page for the Webster restaurant lists happy hour times.
Prices below are copied from the official menus as of November 2026 and are typical, not guaranteed. Happy hours change, skip holidays and are often bar-only, so check the venue’s site the day you go.
Is there a happy hour on the water in Clear Lake?
Yes. Two picks sit on or near the water: Schafer’s in Clear Lake Shores and Tookie’s Seafood in Seabrook’s waterfront district. Both are weekday-afternoon deals.
Tookie’s Seafood
Seabrook, 1106 Bayport Blvd · Monday to Friday, typically 3 to 6 p.m.
Tookie’s Seafood describes itself as part of the Greater Clear Lake Area’s waterfront district, and its happy hour menu is the most generous on this list. Raw oysters are listed at 89 cents each and grilled NOLA oysters at $1.99 each, with fried pickles, calamari and a half-dozen peel-and-eat shrimp also discounted. Drinks include $4.50 wells, a $6 house margarita on the rocks or frozen, $5 house wine, and $4 16-ounce or $5 22-ounce domestic drafts such as Bud Light, Landshark and Ziegenbock.
Insider tip: the $5 happy hour shots include ones called Space City and Go-Stros-Go, and the menu notes that happy hour shots are sold only as shots, not cocktails. Look at the draft list too: Tookie’s pours Kemah Suprema and Crank Dat AC from Saloon Door Brewing, the Webster brewery further down this list. The weekly specials add half-price martinis after 3 p.m. on Mondays and half-price wine all day on Wednesdays. The current menu is on the Tookie’s drink menu page.
Best for: oyster fans and anyone who wants a full Gulf Coast spread for the price of one entree.
Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille
Clear Lake Shores, 1002 Aspen Rd · typically 3 to 6 p.m. on the weekdays it’s open (closed Mondays)
Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille is a family-owned waterfront restaurant with a backstory locals will recognize. It calls itself a proud cousin of Outriggers Seafood Grill & Bar, which sat under the Kemah-Seabrook bridge for 18 years until the Highway 146 bridge expansion closed it. The happy hour menu lists a $12 Spicy Cucumber Martini, a $12 Good Old Fashioned, a $9 Skinny Rita, $4 domestic beer and $5 imports.
Good to know: Wednesday is Wine Down Wednesday, with $4 house wine and $5 Seaglass all day. Schafer’s asks for upscale casual dress, and if you arrive by boat in swimwear, it asks for a modest cover-up. Dated specials are posted on the Schafer’s happy hour page.
Best for: sunset cocktails and a date that feels like a little vacation.
West Bay Area Boulevard, Webster
Three picks sit within a short drive of each other on West Bay Area Boulevard in Webster, which makes this the easiest happy hour corridor in Clear Lake.
BB’s Tex-Orleans
Webster, 1039 W Bay Area Blvd · Monday to Friday, typically 3 to 6 p.m.
BB’s Tex-Orleans serves Louisiana-style food, and the Webster location, open since 2018, has a large covered outdoor seating area. Its happy hour lists a dozen oysters at half price, $5 regular frozens, a $5 glass of wine, $2 off drafts, $3 domestic bottles and $4 imports. The food side is strong: chips and queso for $6, boudin nachos for $8, buffalo bites for $6 and 10 Hot ’N’ Spicy shrimp for $6.
Insider tip: on Fridays, BB’s says teachers who show a school badge during happy hour get a free appetizer, one for every two people. Details are on the BB’s Webster page.
Best for: a cheap, filling weeknight dinner. Compare it with our best oysters in Houston.
Lupe Tortilla
Webster, 891 W Bay Area Blvd · Monday to Friday, typically 3 to 6:30 p.m., bar dining only
Lupe Tortilla calls this restaurant its Clear Lake location, though the address is in Webster. Its current beverage menu takes $1.50 off Original margaritas, wines, wells and drafts during happy hour, and the menu says its margaritas are made with 100 percent hand-pressed lime juice. The 6:30 p.m. finish gives you an extra half hour over the 6 p.m. finish at most weekday picks on this list.
Best for: a late-workday margarita. More Tex-Mex picks are in our Clear Lake Mexican restaurant guide.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Webster, 502 W Bay Area Blvd · daily, typically 4 to 7 p.m. in the bar area
Carrabba’s Italian Grill is the one pick on this list whose happy hour menu says daily, so it’s your Saturday and Sunday answer. Its bar menu lists $3 Michelob Ultra and Peroni drafts, $5 classic red sangria, a $5 blood orange margarita and $5 house wine by the glass. The happy hour bites start at $5 for spinach arancini or zucchini fritte, with lasagne dip at $7 and calamari or meatball sliders at $9. There are $5 spirit-free drinks too, like the Amalfi Cooler.
Best for: weekend happy hour and Italian bar snacks. The full menu is linked from the Carrabba’s Webster page.
NASA Road 1 and the Gulf Freeway
The rest of our picks sit near Interstate 45 and NASA Road 1 in Webster, a few minutes from Space Center Houston.
Little Woodrow’s Webster
Webster, 20251 Gulf Fwy, Suite H · Monday to Friday, typically 2 to 7 p.m.
Little Woodrow’s Webster is an outdoor-leaning bar with a patio bar, yard games and 30 to 50 TVs, and it has the cheapest beer we found in Clear Lake. Its Tap Out special lists $2 select drafts on weekdays from opening until 7 p.m., and the regular happy hour adds $3 wells, $3 select drafts and $5 select shots.
Good to know: the bar is strictly 21 and up after 7 p.m., and anyone under 21 before then must be with a parent or guardian. Food comes from a slider food truck on site.
Best for: cheap rounds and watching the game. See our best sports bars in Houston.
Twin Peaks Webster
Webster, 20931 Gulf Fwy · weekdays, typically 2 to 6 p.m.

Best for: an early afternoon start and big beers. Details are on the Twin Peaks Webster page.
Chili’s NASA
Webster, 1150 W NASA Rd 1 · Monday to Friday, typically 3 to 6 p.m.
Chili’s calls this its NASA location, and it’s the easiest stop on the list if you’re coming off a shift near the space center. The happy hour lists $3 16-ounce Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light, $5 house red or white wine, a $6 Margarita of the Month and a $7 Tequila Classic Marg.
Best for: a no-fuss, predictable drink after work.
Saloon Door Brewing
Webster, 105 A Magellan Cir · Tuesdays (Taco Tuesday)
Saloon Door Brewing makes its beer in house on a 10-barrel system, and the beer names are half the fun: a peanut butter and chocolate milk stout called Tasty AF and a pickle gose. The brewery doesn’t run a daily happy hour. On Taco Tuesday, its site says you get happy hour prices on pints, and it encourages you to bring a board game. The tasting room is typically closed Mondays and opens at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Best for: a local beer and a game night. Times and prices for the Tuesday deal aren’t published, so ask at the bar. See the Saloon Door tasting room page.
