- Best Seafood in Clear Lake, TX: Oysters, Crawfish and Gulf Fish
The best seafood in Clear Lake, TX starts with Tommy's Restaurant & Oyster Bar on Bay Area Blvd for Galveston Bay oysters, Floyd's Cajun Seafood and BB's Tex-Orleans in Webster for crawfish and boils, and the Kemah Boardwalk for a meal on the water. This guide covers eight seafood restaurants around Clear Lake, each confirmed open on its own official website, with what to order at every one.
Here's the part most people don't know: at Tommy's, the oyster shells from your dozen don't go in the trash. Since 2011, the restaurant has worked with the Galveston Bay Foundation to recycle its shell, and Tommy's says more than 250 tons of it have gone back into the bay to help rebuild oyster reefs. In Clear Lake, your dinner can literally become the next reef.

How we chose
We define Clear Lake as the communities that ring Clear Lake itself and its mouth on Galveston Bay: the Clear Lake City area of Houston (around Bay Area Blvd, ZIP 77058 and 77062), Webster, Nassau Bay, El Lago, Taylor Lake Village, Seabrook, Kemah, Clear Lake Shores and League City. That's the same footprint as our Clear Lake area guide and our best restaurants in Clear Lake list. San Leon, La Porte and Galveston are outside it, even though they have excellent seafood.
Every restaurant here had to be a real seafood destination (oysters, crawfish, Gulf fish or boils, not a steakhouse with one fish on the menu) and show a current address and hours on its own official website when we checked. We skipped places we could only find on delivery apps or review sites. Hours change and crawfish is seasonal, so treat every schedule below as typical and check the restaurant's site the day you go.
