Best Brunch in The Woodlands: 10 Weekend Spots Worth Booking

Date Published

Brunch The Woodlands illustration: mimosa glasses, pancake stack and a lakeside patio umbrella at night

In The Woodlands, you can eat Sunday brunch at a bar that was shipped across the Atlantic from County Cork. You can also get a breakfast happy hour at 7 a.m. and order mimosas by the board. Brunch here isn't an afterthought to the shopping. It's half the reason people head to Market Street and Hughes Landing on a Saturday.

This guide is our shortlist for brunch in The Woodlands. It's built for two kinds of weekend: the lazy one where you book a table and linger on a patio, and the early one where you get your name on a waitlist before the line forms.

How we define The Woodlands

We kept this list strictly inside The Woodlands. The Woodlands Township counts eight villages (Alden Bridge, Cochran's Crossing, College Park, Creekside Park, Grogan's Mill, Indian Springs, Panther Creek and Sterling Ridge), plus the Town Center, where Market Street, Waterway Square and Hughes Landing sit. Every pick has a The Woodlands address on its own website. We left out spots in Shenandoah, Spring, Conroe and Magnolia (including Zanti Cucina Italiana, whose Research Forest Drive address sits in Magnolia's Westgate Crossing), even popular ones that say "The Woodlands" in their marketing. For those, see our Spring restaurant guide.

The quick list

  • For a celebration brunch: The Audrey or Del Frisco's Grille.
  • For wine lovers: Sixty Vines, with 60 wines on tap.
  • For the most unusual room: The Goose's Acre, an Irish pub brought over from Ireland.
  • For an early start: Black Walnut or The Toasted Yolk Cafe, both open at 7 a.m.
  • For Tex-Mex brunch by the lake: Escalante's at Hughes Landing.
  • For a healthier plate: True Food Kitchen.
  • For crêpes: Sweet Paris.
  • For whiskey with your waffles: Bosscat Kitchen & Libations.

How we chose

We picked restaurants that take weekend brunch seriously, with a dedicated brunch menu or breakfast served through the morning, and something that makes the trip worth it: a patio, a great room, a signature dish. Each one had to show current hours and a The Woodlands address on its official website as of October 2026. We dropped places whose sites no longer list a The Woodlands location.

A note on bottomless drinks: none of these restaurants advertise bottomless mimosas on their official sites. What you'll find instead is mimosa flights, pitchers, boards and weekend drink specials. If a server offers you something bottomless, great, but don't plan around it.

Brunch hours and menus change, so treat every time below as "typically" and check the restaurant's own site before you go.

Market Street

Market Street is the closest thing The Woodlands has to a brunch district. Five of our picks are within a short walk of each other here, so if your first choice has a long wait, you have backups.

The Audrey Restaurant & Bar

Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Dr · contemporary American · reservations online

The Audrey is the dressed-up option. The restaurant describes itself as inspired by the elegance of the 1960s, and an Audrey Hepburn line about chocolate cake greets you on its homepage. It typically opens at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and pitches itself for leisurely brunches, and it's the place to book for a birthday, a shower or a mother-daughter morning.

Why it's here: it feels like an occasion without being stiff.

Sixty Vines

Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Dr, Suite 900 · wine-focused · patio · reservations online

Sixty Vines pours 60 wines on tap, so you can try a flight, a half glass or a full bottle. The Woodlands location fills about 12,400 square feet, in a space that was once Jasper's, with high ceilings, a long bar and patio seating. Weekend brunch typically runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the food is built to share: wood-fired pizzas, boards and plates for the table.

Insider tip: if your group can't agree on a mimosa, order a wine flight instead and pass it around.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations

Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Dr, Unit 250 · whiskey bar and kitchen · reservations online

Bosscat is a whiskey bar first, with a whiskey library and a private whiskey room inside a 5,800-square-foot space. Brunch typically runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Note the earlier finish than most places on this list.

Why it's here: it's a brunch that turns into an afternoon, for the friend who'd rather have an Old Fashioned than a mimosa.

True Food Kitchen

Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Dr, Suite 150 · seasonal, whole-food menu · patio

When half your table wants pancakes and the other half wants something green, True Food is the compromise. The menu is seasonal and built around whole-food cooking, with plenty of vegan and gluten-friendly options. It typically opens at 10 a.m. on weekends for brunch, and there's patio seating and on-site self-parking.

Best for: brunch after a workout, or before a long walk around Town Center.

Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café

Market Street, 9595 Six Pines Dr, Suite 450 · French crêperie · open daily from 8 a.m.

Sweet Paris is the most fun pick for kids and the sweet-tooth crowd. Breakfast crêpes like the Croque Madame and Le Mexican are typically served until 3 p.m. daily, alongside waffles such as the Apple Cinnamon Crème Brûlée and the S'mores Waffle. Because it serves breakfast every day, it's a good weekday brunch too.

Hughes Landing and Lake Woodlands

Hughes Landing sits on Lake Woodlands, and our two picks there share one address: 1900 Hughes Landing Boulevard. That makes it easy to park once and pick.

Del Frisco's Grille

Hughes Landing, 1900 Hughes Landing Blvd, Suite 500 · bar and grill · patio · dress code

Del Frisco's Grille serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, typically from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu runs to Short Rib Benedict, Country Fried Bacon and Waffles, and avocado toast. The table-pleaser is the Mimosa Board: sparkling wine, a set of juices and fresh fruit garnishes, delivered so you can mix your own. There's also a build-your-own Bloody Mary Board.

Before you go: the restaurant posts a dress code, so check it before you show up in gym clothes.

Escalante's Fine Tex-Mex

Hughes Landing, 1900 Hughes Landing Blvd, #100 · Tex-Mex · weekend brunch

Escalante's typically serves weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Order the chilaquiles, the birria hash or breakfast tacos. Mimosas come by the glass or by the pitcher, which is the right call for a table of four.

Best for: a Tex-Mex fix for out-of-town guests, and big groups splitting pitchers.

Waterway and East Shore

The Goose's Acre

Waterway, 21 Waterway Ave · Irish pub and bistro · brunch Saturday and Sunday

Here's the story to tell your table. The Goose's Acre was a real pub on Main Street in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. When it was forced to close in 2005 to make way for new development, the owners bought its contents, including both bars, and shipped them across the Atlantic to The Woodlands. The pub serves brunch on weekends; check its site for current hours and weekend drink specials.

Insider tip: on Sundays, kids eat free from the kids' menu, according to Visit The Woodlands. Confirm the deal with the pub before you go.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe

East Shore, 207 East Shore Dr, #100 · breakfast and brunch · open daily 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Toasted Yolk serves breakfast and brunch from open to close every day, so you can show up at 2 p.m. and still order eggs. Its signature is the Arnold, the cafe's take on eggs Benedict, built on a fresh-baked biscuit instead of an English muffin. The cafe makes several versions. Get the hashbrown casserole on the side.

Insider tip: skip standing in line. The cafe's site links to an online waitlist you can join from your phone before you leave home.

Across the rest of The Woodlands

Black Walnut Kitchen & Bar

New Trails Drive, 9000 New Trails Dr · American cafe · open daily from 7 a.m.

Black Walnut was established in The Woodlands in 2002, and it's still a neighborhood standby. Weekend brunch is typically served from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the longest window on this list. Order the Sweet Potato Breakfast Hash or the avocado and egg toast, and make it a mimosa flight. On weekdays, an early-bird happy hour runs from 7 to 9:30 a.m.

Best for: early risers, and anyone who wants brunch without a crowd of shoppers.

Save this: a Woodlands brunch Saturday

  1. 9:30 a.m. Join the online waitlist at The Toasted Yolk Cafe on East Shore, or book a 10 a.m. table at Sixty Vines or The Audrey.
  2. 10 a.m. Brunch. Order one sweet thing for the table.
  3. Noon. Walk it off on the Waterway, or browse Market Street. Our things to do in The Woodlands guide has more ideas.
  4. 2 p.m. Coffee or a crêpe to go from Sweet Paris.

Before you go: a quick checklist

  • Book ahead for The Audrey, Sixty Vines and Del Frisco's Grille, especially on holiday weekends.
  • Join a waitlist online for The Toasted Yolk Cafe instead of standing in line.
  • Watch the clock: Bosscat's brunch typically ends at 2 p.m.; Black Walnut's runs to 4 p.m.
  • Check Del Frisco's dress code before you go.
  • Bringing kids? Sweet Paris is the easy crowd-pleaser, and The Goose's Acre does a Sunday kids-eat-free deal.
