Best Brunch in Pearland, TX: 11 Weekend Spots Worth Waking Up For

Date Published

Brunch Pearland illustration: pancake stack topped with a pear, mimosa and coffee at sunrise

Pearland brunch has a few surprises. You can top a pancake stack with praline syrup made with tequila, build your own Bloody Mary from a bar of garnishes, or eat a half-pound burger on a glazed doughnut from a shop whose founder started in the doughnut business in 1978. And at one local kolache counter, the drip coffee comes from a roaster a few miles up Broadway.

This is our shortlist for brunch in Pearland: eleven places worth setting an alarm for on a Saturday, from waitlist-only brunch cafes to a 6 a.m. diner and a doughnut shop that makes treats for your dog.

How we define Pearland

We kept this list strictly inside Pearland. That means the city's older core around Main Street and Broadway, the east side out toward Pearland Parkway and Dixie Farm Road, and the newer west side along Highway 288, Shadow Creek Ranch and Pearland Town Center. Every pick is listed in Visit Pearland's dining directory and has a Pearland address on its own website. We left out spots in Friendswood, Manvel, Clear Lake and Houston's Southbelt, even ones a short drive away. For a wider look at the city, start with our Pearland area guide.

The quick list

  • For a proper weekend brunch with cocktails: Another Broken Egg Cafe or Hash Kitchen.
  • For a colorful, all-day brunch room: Stella's Fresh Brunch.
  • For a reliable early start with a patio: First Watch on Pearland Parkway.
  • For Tex-Mex brunch: Lupe Tortilla, Saturday and Sunday only.
  • For Italian brunch and a mimosa carafe: Taglia Fresh Italian.
  • For chilaquiles and menudo: El Caudillo.
  • For a classic diner that opens at 6 a.m.: Busy Bee Cafe.
  • For the doughnut-burger dare: Peña's Donut Heaven & Grill.
  • For grab-and-go: The Kolache Shoppe or Parlor Doughnuts.

How we chose

We picked places that take breakfast and brunch seriously, with a dedicated brunch menu or breakfast served through the morning, plus something that makes the trip worth it: a signature dish, a great room, a patio, or an early start. Each one had to be listed in Visit Pearland's dining directory and show a current Pearland location on its own official website as of October 2026. We dropped places whose official sites no longer work.

A note on bottomless drinks: none of these restaurants advertise bottomless mimosas on their official sites. What you'll find instead is mimosas by the glass, carafes and pitchers. If a server offers you something bottomless, enjoy it, but don't plan your morning around it.

Another thing worth knowing before you go: Pearland brunch runs on waitlists, not reservations. Five of our picks (Another Broken Egg, Stella's, Hash Kitchen, First Watch and Lupe Tortilla) let you join a waitlist online from their websites. Hours and menus change, so treat every time below as "typically" and check the official site before you go.

Sit-down brunch

Another Broken Egg Cafe

Hwy 288 / Smith Ranch Rd, 2510 Smith Ranch Rd · Southern-inspired brunch · full bar

This is the most complete weekend brunch in Pearland. The cafe sits in The Crossing at 288, and it's typically open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Order the shrimp 'n grits, Gulf shrimp and andouille over cheese grits, or go sweet with the cinnamon roll French toast. The bar does Bloody Marys, a Bloody Maria made with tequila, spiked cold brews and mimosas, and the Bloody Marys come by the pitcher.

Why it's here: a real cocktail list, a big menu, and weekend hours that run an hour later than weekdays. Join the waitlist online before you leave the house.

Stella's Fresh Brunch

East Pearland, 3115 Dixie Farm Rd, Suite 117 · brunch cafe · open daily

Stella's is the brightest room on this list, with colorful murals and warm booths, and it's typically open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The menu has seven Benedicts, from crab cake to chorizo to a Reuben version.

Insider tip: can't choose? Order the On the Fence Benedict, which gets you two half orders of different Benedicts on one plate. Stella's also does a mimosa flight with monthly rotating flavors, so check the Stella's menu before you go.

Hash Kitchen

West Pearland, 9250 Broadway St, Suite 150 · party brunch · DJ weekends

Hash Kitchen was founded in Phoenix in 2015, and it calls itself the home of the Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar: you get the house Bloody Mary base and then load it from a spread of toppings. The brand says it brings in local DJs every weekend, so this is the loud, celebratory brunch on our list, not the quiet one. On the food side, order the cannoli doughnuts for the table, then the birria hash or the banana split French toast.

Good to know: the Pearland location page doesn't list hours, so check before you go and join the waitlist online.

First Watch

Pearland Parkway, 2560 Pearland Pkwy, Suite 100 · daytime cafe · patio

First Watch is the dependable choice when you want a good breakfast without a scene. It's typically open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., it has an outdoor patio, and this location serves alcohol. The restaurant says its most popular dishes here are the Tri-fecta, The Traditional and the A.M. Superfoods Bowl, and the menu includes organic, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.

Best for: a mixed group where someone wants pancakes and someone wants a grain bowl. Use the waitlist on busy weekends.

Lupe Tortilla

Hwy 288 / Smith Ranch Rd, 2728 Smith Ranch Rd · Tex-Mex brunch · weekends only

Lupe Tortilla serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday, typically from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The order that earns it a place here is the praline pancakes, finished with caramel, brown sugar, pecans and a syrup made with Black Barrel tequila. If you'd rather go savory, the brunch menu also has barbacoa tacos with a fried egg and carne asada and eggs.

Why it's here: it's the Tex-Mex brunch in Pearland that also works for a big family table. For more of the genre, see our best Tex-Mex in Houston guide.

Taglia Fresh Italian

East Pearland, 3115 Dixie Farm Rd, Suite 101 · Italian · brunch menu

Taglia is a scratch-made pasta restaurant with green booths and red napkins, and it shares a Dixie Farm Road address with Stella's. Its brunch menu has a short rib Benedict with braised short rib and hollandaise, and the brunch drinks include Bloody Marys and mimosas by the glass or by the carafe.

Insider tip: if Stella's has a long wait, Taglia is a few doors down in the same center. Its site doesn't list brunch hours, so check with Taglia first.

El Caudillo

Old Pearland, 3525 S Main St, Suite 190 · Mexican · brunch menu

El Caudillo describes itself as a project to keep traditional Mexican dishes alive for new generations, and its brunch menu reads that way. Order the chilaquiles, the huevos divorciados with one red and one green salsa, or a bowl of menudo. If you've got kids with you, the Maria Bonita pancakes come covered in bananas, strawberries and condensed milk.

Good to know: the El Caudillo site doesn't post brunch days or hours, so call ahead.

Busy Bee Cafe

Broadway, 4009 Broadway St · country diner · open early, every day

Busy Bee is the no-fuss pick. It's typically open from 6 a.m. every day and stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is country cooking: the menu runs from chicken fried steak to fried chicken livers, with around twenty sides including homemade corn casserole and fried zucchini squash.

Best for: an early start, a late breakfast after a Friday night out, or a table of hungry teenagers.

Grab-and-go and sweet stops

Peña's Donut Heaven & Grill

Shadow Creek Ranch, 11601 Shadow Creek Pkwy · doughnut shop and grill

Peña's founder started in the doughnut business as a teenager in 1978, working at his mother's doughnut shop. Today the shop calls itself an upscale doughnut shop that also serves breakfast and lunch. The dare is the Peña's Donut Burger, a half-pound patty with American cheese on a glazed doughnut. For a more conventional brunch, there's chicken and waffles and a Southern chicken biscuit. The site doesn't list hours, so check before you go.

Parlor Doughnuts

Hwy 288, 15818 S Highway 288 · layered doughnuts · open daily

Parlor started in Evansville, Indiana, in 2019, and it's built around its layered doughnut, made from buttery dough fried crisp outside and soft inside. It also does vegan and keto doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast and acai bowls. The detail that wins over dog owners is that it makes a doughnut for dogs too. Typical hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The Kolache Shoppe

West Pearland, 11940 Broadway St, Suite 170 · kolaches · open daily, mornings only

The Kolache Shoppe is a longtime Houston name, and its Pearland shop is typically open 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekends. Breakfast kolaches include bacon, egg and cheese, sausage, egg and cheese, and brisket, egg and cheddar, plus a rotating sweet special that's typically available Friday to Sunday.

Insider tip: the drip coffee here comes from Pearland Coffee Roasters, a local roaster on Broadway. Grab a dozen kolaches and a coffee on your way to a soccer game. For more, see our donuts and kolaches guide.

Save this: a Pearland brunch Saturday

  1. Before 8 a.m.: join the online waitlist at Another Broken Egg, Stella's or Hash Kitchen from your couch.
  2. If you're up early: coffee and a kolache at The Kolache Shoppe, or a layered doughnut at Parlor, where the dog can have one too.
  3. Brunch proper: Stella's for Benedicts, Another Broken Egg for Bloody Marys by the pitcher, or Lupe Tortilla for praline pancakes. Lupe and Another Broken Egg are both on Smith Ranch Road, so you can switch if one wait is too long.
  4. Plan B on Dixie Farm Road: if Stella's is packed, Taglia is in the same center.
  5. Still hungry later: Busy Bee is typically open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Before you go: a quick checklist

  • Join waitlists online, because none of these places advertise brunch reservations.
  • Check hours on the official site the day you go. The Kolache Shoppe closes at 12:30 p.m., and Lupe's brunch runs on weekends only.
  • Don't count on bottomless mimosas. Look for carafes and pitchers instead.
  • Want to eat outside? First Watch is the pick with a patio listed on its official site.
  • Bringing the dog? Parlor Doughnuts makes a dog doughnut. For patios that welcome dogs, see our dog-friendly patios guide.
