I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Hotel Islands in Houston. The moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home—so welcoming and genuinely attentive. The jacuzzi suite was the highlight—it was spacious, spotless, and had this perfect mix of comfort and luxury. After a long day, sinking into that warm, bubbling water was pure bliss. I can’t recommend it enough—it was a perfect little getaway!

With all respect, this hotel experience wasn’t the best and let me explain why. My family and I were staying at this hotel and I brought in my baby’s car seat into the room. My baby is strictly breastfed (just for context). I noticed a bunch of ants under/on her car seat in the morning. Before this, I had left some food out from our takeout and ants seemed to appeared from behind the TV stand. I moved my babies car seat onto the sofa thinking that would be better since it was off of the floor. Unfortunately, the ants got onto her car seat on sofa as well.I called the front at the hotel and the gentleman came to the room and said it was due to having my babies car seat in the room. Then he took the cushion from the sofa and took outside to remove the ants from the cushion by hitting the cushion so the ants fell off. I took the car seat out of my room and put it in my car. This did help. The man said that there was no way there was an ant problem because they have the pest people come frequently. I asked to change rooms and he didn’t seem to want to do that. The next morning, when we checked out I saw some ants on the bed as well as in our clothing bag later that day. I also have some bites on my legs. I am simply posting this so people are aware. It could have only been an issue with our room (207). But regardless I wanted to make a post. The staff were great! No issues with check in or checkout.

The good things was the room had cool arches, pretty tub, and the bed was comfortable. The rest was poor. They definitely cheaped out on finishing touches like trim, paint, broken mirrors, etc. The room smelled good but has a lot of hair and things on the ground. They also left the door open when you arrive so bugs got inside and was attacking our lights throughout the time. The service was cringe, a house keeper looked through our window at 10am while I was not dressed. The desk guy was doing the review for us giving him 5 stars before I stopped him. Didn’t speak English. The tvs are small with only the Disney channel. Paying over 225 a night, they definitely should not cheap out.

Very clean and comfy room. Very private and secluded. Property Manager was very nice and understanding. Would definitely recommend this place for adult privacy.
