- Best Happy Hours in Kemah, TX: 8 Verified Deals From Bay to 146
The best happy hours in Kemah, TX run from the Kemah Boardwalk restaurants on Galveston Bay to the bars on 6th Street and Kipp Avenue and the barbecue and Tex-Mex spots out on Highway 146. Our eight picks include Landry's Seafood House on the Boardwalk, The Monkey Bar & Grill on 6th Street and T-Bone Tom's on Highway 146, and every deal below comes from the venue's own website or official location page.
Here is the part most day-trippers miss: on a weekday you can walk from one Kemah happy hour to the next from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. without moving your car. The Boardwalk's deals start first, Kipp Avenue picks up the late shift, and 6th Street sits a block between them. The route is at the bottom of this page.
How we chose
Every pick had to be inside the City of Kemah and publish a happy hour on its own official site. We define Kemah by what each venue prints as its address: a Kemah, TX street address, from the Boardwalk and the Lighthouse District near the Clear Creek channel out along Highway 146 to Kemah Crossing at Highway 96. That means we left out places that share the 77565 ZIP code but print another city, including spots that list Clear Lake Shores, as well as Seabrook across the channel and League City to the west. Those are in our Clear Lake happy hour guide and League City happy hour guide.
We also left out bars that say they have a happy hour but don't publish its days or times anywhere on their site. Prices and hours below are what each official page showed in November 2026. Treat them as typical, and check the venue's own page before you go: happy hours change more often than menus do.

Landry's lists $7 cocktails and martinis, including its Famous Mai Tai and a Mango Mojito, plus $4.50 domestic drafts, $5.25 premium drafts and $6 select wines by the glass. The food side runs from $9 popcorn shrimp and New Orleans crawfish bread to $11 blackened fish tacos and a shrimp and crab cake.
Insider tip: Landry's says its happy hour is available in the bar and lounge area only, so head straight to the bar rather than asking for a dining-room table.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
5 Kemah Boardwalk, Kemah · typically Monday to Friday, 2 to 5 p.m.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on the Kemah Boardwalk is where the earliest Boardwalk happy hour starts, according to the Kemah Boardwalk's official dining page, which lists it Monday to Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. The restaurant is decorated with memorabilia from the movie Forrest Gump, and its margaritas are hand-shaken at your table. The Boardwalk page doesn't list the specific deals, so ask your server.
Best for: families splitting an afternoon between the rides and a round of drinks.
Saltgrass Steak House
215 Kipp Ave, Kemah · typically Monday to Friday, 3 to 7 p.m. · No Bull Lounge
Saltgrass Steak House in Kemah runs its happy hour in the No Bull Lounge, a short walk from the Boardwalk on Kipp Avenue. The drink prices are some of the friendliest in town: $3 for 12-ounce domestic draft and bottled beers, $4 for craft and imported beers, house margaritas (frozen or on the rocks) and well drinks, and $7 for a Coronarita, Ranch Water or Tito's Texas Tea. Lounge appetizers include fried pickles and peppers, Range Rattlers and queso fresco with brisket.

Its specials calendar lists happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, with nightly specials from 4 p.m. on most weeknights. The site lists times but not prices, so check the board at the bar.

Highway 146 and Kemah Crossing
T-Bone Tom's
707 Highway 146, Kemah · typically Monday to Friday, 2 to 6:30 p.m.
T-Bone Tom's started as the Kemah Meat Market in the 1960s and became T-Bone Tom's in 1974, according to the restaurant, and it still smokes its briskets, ribs and homemade sausage over oak. Its happy-hour graphics list domestic drafts at $3.50 a glass, $5.50 a half pitcher and $9 a pitcher, plus $6 house margaritas, frozen or on the rocks. The food deals are, in our view, the best value on this list: a $4.99 Vegas shrimp cocktail, $3.49 individual tacos and $4.99 fried pickles.
