To start off with i went to the front desk and requested to speak with jasmine and the lady behind the desk said you dont need jasmine to help you get a room and I simply stated that other family members had already dealt with her and she told them for me to request her. The lady then said "oh well she's not here what do you need" i was given a certain price of the room and then was told to pay so as which I did and after the charge came out of my account the rate was damn near doubled. As to which I asked the lady behind the desk and she was rude and snarky about the whole situation as to saying "you have to pay taxes" I then said taxes are not the same price as as the rate and then she said "oh yea you have to pay an incidental deposit which could possibly be refunded tomorrow. After going into the room the room was no where near as nice as the sister Marriott next door ( which also happened to be cheaper) there is absolutely no microwaves for guest to use at all. Also to add on top of all things I have a 3 and 4 year old with me in the room during the visit in this room PILLS were Found by the edge of the bed! Yes pills! And when asking staff questions they come off rude and as if you are almost bothering them. Would not recommend this place to anybody! I have stayed at the bottom of the barrel hotels compared to this Marriott westin and have received far more superior interactions with staff and rooms. I

We have been staying at the Westin while my mother-in-law is in the hospital in Houston, and this hotel has truly been a blessing for our family during a very difficult time. The staff has been incredibly compassionate and accommodating, especially when we needed to extend our reservations unexpectedly. They made the process seamless and stress-free. The skybridge connecting the hotel directly to the hospital has been unbelievably convenient, particularly for family members traveling alone or going back and forth throughout the day. It provided comfort and ease when we needed it most. Every member of the hotel team has gone above and beyond to support us and make this challenging situation a little less overwhelming. We are so grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a comfortable and supportive place to stay, especially if you have loved ones at the hospital nearby.

What ruined the stay was that there was a fire alarm test that occurred at 9AM and lasted for 30 minutes. It was obnoxiously loud and extremely inconvenient when most who stay at a hotel are traveling, or depending on peace and quiet to do remote work and also try to be well rested for travel. It seemed very poorly planned and inconvenient. I understand things happen but this couldn’t have been at a more inappropriate time.

I was told my room wasn’t ready at 445pm when I attempted to check in. The staff member at the desk could not give me a time frame for when it would be ready or find me another room even though I told her I had an event tonight and needed to get ready. She took my phone number and said she would contact housekeeping which she never did. She continued to check guests in. After over 30 mins, I went back to the desk and spoke with another employee. My room was ready. The employee attempted to charge me again for the same room after I told her I had already paid with the other staff member. Neither employees showed any genuine concern or offered any compensation. I asked to speak to the manager and was told, “he just left”. Very poor customer service.

The stay was fine. The fire alarm test at 9 am that lasted THIRTY MINUTES according to the front desk was RIDICULOUS. Repeating over the loud speakers in the rooms again for THIRTY STRAIGHT MINUTES. Do not stay here if you need to conduct work meetings or calls! I have NEVER experienced anything this ridiculous in at hotel room.
