Nice property, but indifferent service makes it feel average The hotel is nice, and I was genuinely grateful for a complimentary room upgrade. However, the service was noticeably lacking. Even accounting for the busy Fourth of July weekend, the staff seemed indifferent. On my first morning, a requested towel never arrived, and the front desk offered no apology when I went down to ask about it. On the second night, the AC struggled badly during the heat wave, and after waiting 30 minutes for a spoon, we were surprisingly told this four-star hotel didn't have one. Finally, the front desk didn't even offer a basic greeting at checkout. Small things go a long way, and the lack of basic hospitality brought down an otherwise good physical property.

Rooms are great and quiet. AC is not very strong. Took hours for room to cool down. Wanted to eat breakfast downstairs at their restaurant, but there was no acknowledgement waiting to be seated. 4 people were walking around and looking at us standing there, but not one said a word. We ended up leaving after waiting 10 minutes. There were plenty of open seats. Recommend hotel, but not the restaurant.

Very clean and well maintained hotel the rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds. The views from the rooms as well as rooftop bar give a great way to see the Houston skyline . Stayed for a conference and was great to be within walking distance to this and other resteraunts bars and Astros stadium .

Keila M. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding customer service my fiancée and I received during our recent stay at Le Méridien Houston Downtown. From start to finish, our experience was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to Keila M. She was incredibly pleasant, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Her warm demeanor and dedication to providing top-tier service made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Because of the excellent hospitality we experienced, I would absolutely recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Houston. My fiancée and I had an amazing time, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay. Keila, I wish my lashes were as long as yours! Lol, keep up the great work 💕

Disappointed with Our Stay at Le Méridien Houston Downtown. We stayed for four nights and encountered several operational and service issues that fell short of expectations for this hotel. Arrival and Check-In: Reception is on the second floor with no porters available and no dedicated curbside check-in assistance. This made the arrival process feel disorganised. Facilities: The overall amenities felt quite basic. The rooftop bar was also underwhelming. Housekeeping Challenges: Coordinating housekeeping service was particularly frustrating. I called ahead to schedule times and used the “At Your Service” door hanger (the reverse side of the “Do Not Disturb” sign). However, this sign appears to signal to staff that the room is currently being serviced, which resulted in the room not being cleaned on multiple occasions despite our requests. This created unnecessary inconvenience over several days. Room Amenities: The in-room provisions felt inadequate for the hotel’s positioning and price. They provided only plastic cups for coffee and water instead of proper mugs or glassware, contributing to an experience that didn’t match the expected upscale vibe. It’s the small details like this that made the stay feel more basic than anticipated. Breakfast Vouchers: There was confusion around the breakfast vouchers provided at check-in. We were told one voucher would cover two people. However, at the restaurant, staff indicated we needed two vouchers for two guests, highlighting a lack of alignment between the front desk and restaurant team. Overall, the combination of these issues made for a disappointing stay. The hotel has potential with its location and branding, but execution in service and amenities needs improvement to better align with guest expectations.
