Travelodge by Wyndham Houston Hobby Airport

My friend and I got to our hotel room to find it covered in mold. Not just mildew, but white mold. The chairs, table, and counters were covered in big circular colonies of mold; it was the single grossest hotel room I’ve ever seen. I’ll attach pictures. My friend began getting sick, so we decided to change rooms instead of just toughing it out (it was past midnight, after a 9-hour drive); the front desk woman gave us a new room, and it didn’t have as much visible mold but smelled extremely strongly of mold (and urine), and the sink and bathtub were both leaking. The toilet seat and floors and all had a bunch of dirt and stuff on them. The A/C smelled like straight mildew. I’ve stayed in plenty of rather rundown motels, I’m used to it… but this was absolutely egregious. My friend felt sick for some time afterwards. It’s the single filthiest, most unsanitary room I’ve ever seen. I tried calling Wyndham to get a refund, but the hotel refused to issue one. I’ve filed a formal complaint with Wyndham, as this is an entirely different level of negligence, to the point of being dangerous. This motel should genuinely be shut down.

My god! I have never been somewhere with so many roaches and horrible smell and horrible stains on the towels. The carpet was absolutely filthy. The shower curtain hat dried snot on it. And the bugs were EVERYWHERE! This was the more horrible experience I've ever had! I would have paid more but they're was nothing available and my flight had been canceled. Dear God dont ever let me be in a situation like this again! It was HORRIBLE!!!!

I visited Houston to meet a friend and picked this hotel because of the excellent reviews — and they were completely accurate. Check-in was quick, the lobby looked modern, and everything smelled freshly cleaned. The room itself was bright, spacious, and comfortable. The blackout curtains and quiet atmosphere helped me sleep longer than expected. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the City.

Big roaches. Quiet. Wifi too slow. Dish TV. No microwave for guests during daytime due to manager, night manager allows, daytime manager says "No microwave." Within walking distance for inflated prices at Pit Stop. Phone in room doesn't work. Shower head is clogged up, full of limestone deposits. Coffee service in every room. Non-English speaking Housekeeping staff.

I stayed here during a business trip and appreciated the peace and quiet. The Wi-Fi connection was solid, the room was tidy, and the bed was comfortable enough to get proper rest. The staff greeted me with smiles every time I walked by, which made the stay feel very welcoming.
