TownePlace Suites Houston Westchase

Customer service desk was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fine but nothing spectacular. There were no fruit options, which would have been nice. The price was very appealing and was a very budget friendly option. However, location is not in the best part of Houston. The king bed room was too crammed with furniture and the layout was awkward. Simply too many furniture pieces in such a small space. The rooms are in need of remodeling. The bathrooms are very outdated and in need of replacing. Furniture and decor is worn out and in obvious of needing replacement. Overall, it was a great price but it does come with those caveats as a result.

Bed and linens were clean and OK to sleep in but the place overall is not well maintained. None of the exercise equipment (two treadmills and one elliptical) works in the fitness center. Free weights from the rack are missing. The color on the TV in the breakfast area is broken. Bathroom tub is stained. It’s pretty clear here the owners are not concerned about upkeep or renovation and are just running the place into the ground.

The hotel is clean and conveniently located close to the city center, with many great restaurants and places nearby. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, I was a bit disappointed that toothbrush and toothpaste were not already provided in the room and I had to ask for them. This is a basic amenity that could have been handled better. Overall, it was not bad.

I am SO disappointed. This Towneplace Suite by Marriott on Westchase is not as I expected from Marriott brand. The Marriott quality control should check this place out and make the owner to do a whole renovation PLEASE. Every thing there is just old. The rooms has a musty smells, the sofa has no cushion, the curtains has holes, the rugs are not cleaned, the bathroom floor smelled like urine, the bath tub are old and stained, the shower curtain is unclean, the shower head water spray everywhere when it on, kitchen are so old. I was afraid of turning on the stove. I can hear people sleeping downstairs snoring and oh wow!! The rooms we stayed at. We can hear vehicles throughout the night. Except from 2am-4am in the morning. The gym was not equipped. The treadmill and stair master needed to be replaced. Especially the middle treadmill. It is not safe. The pool needed to be cleaned or close down. I got an itchy feet. So many problems about this hotel. I couldn’t wait to fly home! ***If you DO stay there, I would advise to go and buy something like Arm & Hammer Moisture Absorber & Odor Eliminator. Especially if you have asthma. The staff are friendly, they make sure there are always hot water and coffee available all day, parking is free, great location such as 25 minutes from Hobby airport and many places to eat. The beds are comfortable and the bath towels are nice and fluffy.

Location is great. I expected better. Everything is old & rusty. It carries the Marriott name but is not the same service as other Marriott hotels. Rooms are stuffy, thermostat is outdated. The outlets require bases, the bathroom has rust stains. The water is like warm and the shower head sprays partially. It’s disappointing because there’s so much potential. I won’t be staying here at this location again. Try another location because it’s outdated.
