The Whitehall Houston

The hotel was great, the rooms clean, nice quiet and safe area, close to public transportation (even airport bus) and close to restaurants/bars. The restaurant bar had good food and prices. The night bartender was very friendly and he was helpful in recommendations around the area. The hotel also offers free breakfast, a la carte! The staff in general was helpful and nice, Shirley, Kelvin, John and basically everyone that I interacted with was helpful and nice.

The stay was wonderful! Service was excellent (especially John, Shirley and I didn’t get the names of others who helped as well). The valet make the stay feel extremely luxurious (please don’t forget to tip!). Only complaint is the shower door. It allowed water all over the floor and was loud if not closed slow and intentionally. However, one small detail in comparison to the overall stay is something worth overlooking.

I have been coming to Houston for years on business, and it is regrettable that I am only now discovering The Whitehall Houston. This is a fantastic establishment, through and through—from beginning to end, and even beyond. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and delightful conversation. I am especially thankful for the front desk team—Shirley, John, Ana Maria, and Kelvin—who made sure I was settled into a wonderful, spacious room and handled all of my needs throughout my entire stay with utmost care. I was in Houston on business and had many Amazon packages arriving during my stay. The team made sure to notify me promptly and took great care to ensure everything reached me in a timely manner. Even with a return package that needed to make its way back to Amazon after my departure, they were fully committed to helping. All of my business needs were addressed—from printing and signing legal agreements to faxing them as well. This level of service is truly over the top. The entire staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, offering recommendations for navigating downtown Houston, and their team even served as personal chauffeurs using the hotel car. And let’s not forget the on-property restaurant, Edgars. The food is fresh, delicious, and inventive—a thoughtful fusion of Texan, Mexican, and Southern comfort flavors—paired with care and attention given to every beverage they offer. This is a wonderful place to stay, and I plan to stay here again whenever I am in Houston!

Switched to the Whitehall from another hotel that’s gone downhill nearby to stay on my business trips. The building is gorgeous and very luxurious & the staff at the front desk was immaculate! I interacted with them approximately 3 times during my stay for various things and they were extremely helpful & welcoming every-time. This place def is a 5 star experience but the ONLY bad thing I cannot fault them for so will not take a star away is that the area is LOUD. I heard cars, people on the street and the highway noise all night. Not a dealbreaker but def ask for a higher floor !

Fantastic bartender! Super friendly, quick with service, and clearly knows their craft. The drinks were perfectly balanced and they made the whole experience fun and welcoming. Would absolutely come back and hope they’re behind the bar again!
