The Westin Houston Downtown

I am working at the George R Bush convention center. The Westin is 2 blocks away and a really easy walk. I like to have a place where I can grab a quick bite at the end if my day and head to my room. The lobby bar is the perfect place. The food is amazing! The valet folks have all been great. The front desk staff the same. I have no complaints and highly recommend staying at the Westin, especially if you are in townnon business.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an outstanding experience at The Westin Downtown, and I want to personally recognize Victor for going above and beyond. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made the entire stay feel seamless and elevated the level of service to something truly memorable. Victor anticipated needs before I even had to ask, handled everything efficiently, and maintained such a positive attitude throughout. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in their work and ensures guests feel valued. Because of Victor, my stay wasn’t just comfortable — it was exceptional. The Westin is fortunate to have him representing their brand. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending this location to others. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an excellent stay at the Westin in downtown Houston! From the moment you walk in, everything is spotless—immaculately clean from the entrance all the way to the rooms, bathrooms, and even the fitness center. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and get great rest. Customer service was top-notch both at arrival and checkout—friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout the entire stay. Truly a 5/5 experience. Highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely be back again!

The Westin Downtown hosted our wedding block and they were absolutely wonderful. The service was top notch, the rooms were clean, modern, and affordable, and the lounge and bar downstairs was the perfect place to have a drink and visit with friends and family. We could not be any happier with our experience!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a travel advisor who travels frequently—roughly every other week—I have a pretty good sense of what hospitality should look like. Our recent stay at the The Westin Houston Downtown while visiting Houston to celebrate my son’s birthday was a great example of it done right. When we arrived, the hotel was clearly busy and we were told our room wasn’t quite ready yet due to the property being at capacity from events in the area. We decided to relax and grab lunch in the lobby while we waited. During that time, our server BILLY took wonderful care of us. He gave great recommendations and made lunch feel relaxed and welcoming. I asked if the kitchen might be able to pick out a dessert for my son’s birthday and add a candle if possible, and mentioned I was happy for it to be any dessert from the menu. BILLY handled it perfectly and presented it in such a thoughtful and celebratory way that it turned into a really special moment for my son. Later, I stopped by the front desk to see if it might be possible to get into a room a little sooner since we had been traveling. WILLIAM and MICKEY were both very kind and helped with the initial check-in process while looking into what options might be available. When the exact room type I had booked wasn’t ready yet, they connected me with front desk supervisor MELISSA, who handled everything with professionalism and genuine care and helped find a great solution for us. Housekeeping was equally impressive. ANGEL was incredibly friendly and very quick to respond when we needed assistance during our stay. On the morning of checkout, BELKIN and JOEL were also very helpful and made sure everything was taken care of promptly and professionally. On checkout day we ended up eating in the lobby again, this time served by CASH. I normally avoid eating in a hotel lobby when I have time before departure because I like to get out and explore the city a bit before heading to the airport. However, we chose to stay and have one more meal there because we had been so pleased with our stay and the service we experienced the day before. CASH provided another great experience and it was the perfect way to wrap up our visit. I also had a chance to interact with JON and BERTO from security, who were both very friendly and welcoming as well. Even while the hotel was clearly operating at full capacity, every staff member we encountered delivered a calm, collected, and elevated level of service that truly stood out. Special thanks to MELISSA, WILLIAM, MICKEY, BILLY, CASH, ANGEL, BELKIN, JOEL, JON, and BERTO for such wonderful hospitality. This stay definitely put the WESTIN HOUSTON DOWNTOWN on my list of places I’ll look forward to booking again the next time I’m in Houston.
