We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Lancaster Hotel, and what truly sets this place apart is the service. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond, attentive, genuinely kind, and incredibly professional. This is the kind of service that anticipates your needs and makes you feel truly cared for, not just checked in. The hotel itself is elegant, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but the experience is elevated even further by Cultivated F+B, located inside the hotel. The food was outstanding from start to finish, thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. The deviled eggs were a standout, and everything we tried reflected a level of care and quality that matched the hotel’s service perfectly. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel in Houston in the Theater Districr where hospitality genuinely goes the extra mile and the dining is just as memorable, The Lancaster Hotel delivers on every level. We’ll absolutely be back. We had a great stay-cation!

Very attentive staff from start to finish. The staff will go over and above to satisfy almost any request. Wife wanted garlic fries at 1030 on a Friday night. I call the kitchen they say yah we will give it shot, it wasn't on the menu. Room service arrived within 10 minutes (keep in mind 12th floor) beautiful well pomme frites garlicky shaved warmest. Well done!! Rooms are well appointed, location is sublime. The service though is the most enviable aspect in my opinion.

You know sometimes you just have to say, it’s worth it. Normally I would book a large hotel chain on Expedia. But after visiting this hotel for brunch a few weeks ago while seeing a show at Alley theater I knew it would be a hotel to return to and spend a night. So I chose a celebratory Saturday night for my husband’s retirement. It is a special hotel. From the artwork, impeccable service, refined and beautifully designed rooms to the buffet brunch breakfast included in your stay, just A+ all around. We are moving from the Houston area soon, and this is a wonderful bookend to our memory bank of this chapter of our life. Thank you.

We were deeply impressed by the thoughtful welcome amenities: a beautifully chilled bottle of champagne, perfectly prepared chocolate-covered strawberries, and, above all, the handwritten note from the General Manager himself. That personal touch transformed a simple arrival into a warm, memorable moment—something very few hotels bother to do anymore, yet it makes all the difference. Every interaction with the staff was flawless. Professional, attentive, and sincerely kind, they made us feel valued from start to finish. The level of courtesy and care at The Lancaster sets a new standard—one that every hotel should study and strive to emulate. This is precisely what world-class hospitality means. The ambiance, décor, comfort, and overall atmosphere exude sophistication without pretension. We came to Houston and Lancaster Hotel for the first time to see Christmas performance by a favored group of ours Voctave. We have really enjoyed the hotel. Bartender David knows his stuff. Restaurant was great. Breakfast was of great quality and the new gal on staff from Rhode Island made us feel welcome. As did Gary and Kevin at the front desk. Very helpful. Housekeeping and guys at the front door was prompt and friendly. Finally the manager, I didn’t catch his name either. He never stopped working! Always on the move. Setting a great example for staff. Thank you for great service and making us feel welcome.
