John was amazing, and super friendly! Nice room, I just wish we have more sheets. That is our only critique. We had a great stay and woke up to coffee and nice conversation. He is very informative and honest about the area. I enjoyed how interesting he made every conversation. I would recommend this place and if we ever come back we will hopefully be able to return.

John was ALWAYS the most gracious and professional host of his home. I was on an internship at 2 major Houston hospitals from July - December, 2018 and was able to stay at the Art Abbey during that entire timeframe. His home was always spotless and clean! I really appreciated that there was also a garage to keep my car inside. We established a great rapport and I would certainly stay there again without thinking twice about it!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Mr. Jon is an excellent host. He really goes the extra mile to ensure that customer satisfaction is at an all-time high. He even made sure I was good after my stay with him. I recommend this place for stays. The location is great. His home is clean and the WiFi is awesome. He can share so much information about the city too!

Very cozy accommodations, I was warmly welcomed by John and shown the layout. I felt right at home, and loved the fact that I had garage parking, private restroom inside the room, and a spacious balcony on which to get some fresh air. I highly recommend booking, especially if you aren't a fan of hotels and motels.

Coming first time in Houston and so far so perfect thanks to JOHN, the best host I have met so far! The moment i booked he instantly messaged asking if I need help with directions. Plus you can check in at ur convenience. When i came, was quite lost, and he went out and greeted me, showed the room. Lovely modest home with lots of paintings! Which i truly appreciated. Little things that I need was available as well like PC and printer. The room was clean and filled with toiletries. Price is very much reasonable in contrast with johns superb hospitality. He even cooked for me dinner coz I came home late at night. U cant have that kindness in a standard hotel. Truly a humbling and lovely stay! Thank you John!
