I want to preface this by saying that the service at the front desk was good, from my experience. The owners are really kind people and were very flexible—which is the only reason why I will give 2 stars. The rest of my experience, on the other hand, was honestly disappointing. The room wasn't clean. It's evident that there is very poor maintenance as the furniture, linen and decor looked old and unclean. However, the most concerning aspect of our stay was safety. There was some sort of altercation with another guest in the parking lot—yelling, arguing, hostile behavior in general. My husband and I felt very unsafe inside our room the whole time. This was a last-minute booking, so as I said, I feel very grateful with the owners. I hope that they can invest a little more on improving their service.

Our room was not clean. Hair in the tub and dirt, blood stains, cigarette burns, and hair in the beds. Went to tell the manager and he was kind and understanding and gave me new bedding. That’s when I found out they don’t have house keeping here at all. “They left” he said. I feel bad for them but honestly they need to do better with the rooms regardless.

The people at the front desk said they couldn’t help me after I needed an extra day for my children I had the money in hand and ready . They said my room was very dirty. But that was absolutely not true. They gave me a room with blood on the sheets and the walls . They have a roach infestation. The shower head is coming out of the wall. . I don’t recommend staying here if you have children

Super clean and great value. I was surprised to find this friendly gem of a hotel at such an affordable rate. They have thoughtful amenities like coffee and a hair dryer. The bathroom was attractively arranged with a spacious shower. I extended my stay because Summit Inn is top notch. I will avoid chain hotels next time I'm in Houston in favor of the Summit Inn. Thanks for a great stay.
