SpringHill Suites Houston Intercontinental Airport

Spring Hill Suites SpringHill Suites was a great place to have a layover for one night. I was traveling with my grandma (own room), husband and two children. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating in the short time we were there. The layout of the room was great (desk divider) to allow for some separation at night between my husband and me and the kids. The room had a lot of outlets that allowed us to recharge our devices. The shuttle was easy to find at the airport, and the lobby had a luggage cart. The check-in process was very quick. My husband ordered DoorDash, and the rooms already came with utensils and paper goods. The front desk allowed us to have a late check-out, so my husband was able to set up at the desk to work before we had to leave. The hotel was fairly empty, so the kids were able to run and release their energy before heading to the airport. The breakfast in the morning was PERFECT for the family and had great options with lots of seating. The bedding was very warm and comfortable, but we couldn't adjust the TV to watch easily. The only downfall was the pack-in-play crib; it was old, dirty, and had an odor (it worked for 1 night).

Great hotel if you want to be near the airport. Very convenient for retal car users for your rental return to the airport. Clean hotel, nice staff. I do wish they had an outdoor fire pit for the colder months. On site bar is nice and convenient with a great attendant. I will continue to stay here. Area is not the best around but it surely inst the worst either. Gas and some food are just across the street.

This is a great value for the money property very close to IAH. 4 stars doesn’t mean it’s the nicest hotel in the world….but it serves its purpose well. Of course the close proximity to the airport can be a huge plus but also means contending with noise from flights directly overhead. There is an airport shuttle which is convenient. Front desk staff was very kind and courteous at check in. I was surprised that my Bonvoy status + benefits were recognized despite booking through a third party. Room was clean. Mattress was a little hard but nothing to complain about at this price point. Overall, no issues for a quick business trip and late night arrival.

I chose this hotel because it advertised a free airport shuttle, but the reality is very different. The shuttle is not guaranteed—they only have 11 spots every half hour. When the shuttle finally arrived, it was already half full, which makes it even harder to get a seat. If it’s full, you’re simply out of luck. That’s very misleading. The check-in process was slow and very late, which made the experience even more frustrating after traveling. To make things worse, they charged me over $7 for a small Tropicana lemonade, which is completely unreasonable. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member, and unfortunately this was one of the worst properties I’ve experienced within the brand. Also, the airplane noise is extremely loud—it feels like you’re sleeping in a paper box right next to the runway. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

My competitive robotics team has stayed at this hotel the past two years we've competed at the World Championships and it is the kids' favorite. The staff is so welcoming and helpful! They make sure our kids have a warm breakfast before leaving for the Convention Center, opening the kitchen before listed times. When our students have misplaced their keys, the front desk staff have been kind and understanding. The kids love the outdoor pool area and the seating areas are fantastic.
