SpringHill Suites Houston Downtown Convention Center

We stayed here for a convention at Bayou Music Center. The venue was only .8 miles from the hotel and just to let everyone know the Ubers ran anywhere from $30-$45 to not even go 1 mile. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and there is a Starbucks right outside of the hotel literally attached to the hotel. The room is what I want people to know about. The positive things about the room in the double queen that we stayed in is there is a living room area that has a refrigerator and microwave. There is a desk area in the bedroom and the room itself is humongous in size. The negatives about the room are a few. The beds are not comfortable. The bathroom door is frosted glass so if one party is in the bathroom while the other is asleep it lights up the entire room when you turn on the bathroom light. For the size of the room, the bathroom is tiny. There’s very little counter space to put any of your toiletries or small hair appliances. We literally had to bring over a small table from the living area and set it outside the door just to put our things on. There is also no safe in the room. If you need a safe and you need bathroom space this is not the hotel to stay in. The hotel and the room were both very clean. Only one elevator was working while we were there and the hotel we were told was at full capacity so waiting on the elevator was long.

Room is a good size and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating to special requests. My room was cleaned every day. Plenty of food options around the hotel, but none really within it. Does have a Starbucks downstairs and a shared little bar with limited hours (small menu of some flatbreads). 15 minute walk to the conference center. All in all would stay here again.

The rooms are HOT! It is on a set timer and stayed hot , it does not state you have to use valet . But yes unless you want to park somewhere random down the street and carry your bags with all your kids to your room which is ridiculous for 500+$ for 2 nights . The staff is super nice and location is great. The hotel it’s self is a no . Beds are not comfortable blankets and sheets are crispy . And the carpets are really outdated with an older smell to the room .

My recent experience at your Houston establishment was exceptionally unsatisfactory, with customer service demonstrating consistent deficiencies across all levels. Lina was unable to provide a receipt, necessitating a follow-up call with the manager on a separate date. Upon checking in for a conference, my reservation was mishandled despite multiple rooms being booked under our account. This was due to a flight delay which prevented me from checking in at the scheduled time. During my stay, I requested room service on several occasions and, regrettably, only received a towel change.

My visit at SpringHill Suites hotel was excellent. The front desk and GM were very helpful and accommodating to my stay. The rooms my family and I stayed in were very clean and well-made. With where the hotel is located, it offers walkable and easy access to the public train so we took that to Museum District and areas around for sight-seeing.
