Reviews
We had a 2 night stay at Sonesta Simply Sweets in Nasa over the 2026 4th of July weekend. We made reservations approximately a month in advance through Booking dot com. Check-in was easy, Genny's pleasant, but it went south from there. We asked for a third floor room not near the elevator when we made the booking. We received a first floor room and we're told no others existed. No problem, so we went to check out the room. We unpacked everything because it seemed to be fine other than an odd odor. I took off my shoes to change into my house shoes and found the carpet was wet in the bedroom by the nightstand and also the carpet in the living room in front of the couch. It wasn't just wet, it had a very weird smell. We took a white towel to absorb the liquid in the carpet and that's when we found out it was a brown a color and was probably the culprit of the funky odors. We were already unpacked at this point, but no way were we staying in this room. So we went back to Jenny and asked for a different room explaining what the situation was showing her the now brown towel. Jenny went into the room, checked it out and agreed with bewilderment saying they didn't have another room. After a few minutes Jenny was able to locate a different room on the third floor without carpet and away from the elevator; imagine that, they had a room just like we asked for in when making the reservation. We accepted the room, moved and unpacked everything, and all was good except a few more things. 1) The AC unit worked well in the living/main area, but the unit has a tiny vent from the living and into the bedroom, the AC's shared with the living area. The small amount of cool air being diverted into the bedroom is very poor the way it's set up. We were so hot in the bedroom, with just a sheet. I went down to the front desk at 3:00 in the morning attempting to secure a portable fan which could blow cool air from the living area into the bedroom. Unfortunately we weren't able to secure a fan. I think if they would put a ceiling fan above the bed it would definitely help with the issue. People I'm not exaggerating, our house AC temperature is 76-77° all the time with ceiling fans. We had the living AC set to 64°, but we couldn't get that cool air into the bedroom. I ended up dropping the temperature to 60° and tried to sleep on the couch, but impossible due to the couches comfort level. 2) The bed's comfort level was piss poor, the springs were felt and we had a hard getting comfy on it. A 3" memory foam topper would help tremendously, but a new mattress is in order. 3) The $2 shower diverter was malfunctioning and needed replacing. 20% of the water went to the shower head and 80% went straight down the drain. Another tremendous let down for us and a waste of resources for the hotel and city. 4) The dishwasher gasket was non-existent making the dishwasher unusable other than a drying rack after handwashing. Sheets and linens were good, kitchen utensils were sufficient and clean. Rooms are plesantly spacious. The neighbor across the hall had a barking dog, it wouldn't stop barking until they got to the room around 3 a.m. The hallway AC didn't work on the 3rd floor. Overall maintnence is poor. People don't seem to take the 2 luggage carts back to the front desk area for others to use, maybe they use them for drying clothes. You may end up waiting for one like us (30 minutes) and finally end up carrying the luggage to your car. This place offers longer term rentals; people live here, be prepared. We paid $115 x 2 nights, but never again in its current condition. Our overall rating of Sonesta Simply Suites is a 1 star due switching rooms and getting a second room with everything as mentioned. We won't be staying here in the future unless real changes are made and not just a paint job. Honest open review.

Shneeya has excellent communication and customer service skills We were treated very well from beginning to end. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped for most of our needs. Will definitely come again and recommend to others. Any concerns we had were addressed promptly. Thank you for a nice stay!

It's a little older but the rooms where very clean and the bed was comfortable... Lots of places to eat within walking distance... The only thing I would recommend is upgrading the TVs... The shower also drained slowly... Other than those minor things my overall experience was good and I would come back...

Lisa at front desk is awesome. She definitely goes out of her way to help you. She is very pleasant and always smiling. Jessica with housekeeping is the best. She is very thorough! Gordy with maintenance is great as well, he is very attentive and will correct things right on the spot if he can.

I booked this hotel in hopes of getting good rest during a family emergency. The location is incredibly convenient with not many options in this particular area. However, I was woken up at 12:30 in the middle of the night by two grown men using a master key to unlock and open my door. As a solo female traveler, I am sure you can see how unsettling that was and how unsafe I felt. The reason they were opening my door after midnight? To verify my name…at 12:30 at night? They couldn’t have waited or maybe tried waking me using the phones in the room? The “manager” was incredibly dismissive and rude, unprofessional to say the least. What was going to be a 3 night stay was just 1. I will NEVER stay here again, will never recommend it to others. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would.
