The kindest staff!! Plus the rooms are some of the best I have ever had. It felt like a swanky apartment in the center of the city. We went on a walking tour downtown to see all the art and a few great places to drink / eat. We were so conveniently located that our tour guide met us across the street in Market Square. Everything was close and walkable. WOW I will definitely be coming back here.

Hands Down the Best Stay in Downtown Houston I travel a lot for work as a musician, and Reside Houston Downtown has easily been one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. What makes this place stand out isn’t just the beautiful, clean rooms or the great downtown location — it’s the staff. From the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, every single person on every shift consistently goes above and beyond. You can tell they truly care about every guest, not just the easy ones. They know people by name, they’re proactive, and they’re always willing to help without hesitation. You don’t see that very often anymore, especially in downtown hotels. The rooms are spotless, the linens are fresh, the building feels extremely safe, and the entire property is maintained better than most higher-priced hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s also very pet friendly and kid friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The location is perfect — close to everything in downtown, with great views that make it feel like a mini vacation every day. I’ve been here two weeks and honestly feel like I’m living in a relaxing home away from home. Huge credit to the entire staff and management team for creating an environment this consistent, clean, and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again and even live here long term.

The staff was wonderful!! Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed. The location is perfect, with everything in downtown just a short walk away. The only downside was that the room could have been cleaner; the coffee pot hadn’t been washed, and there was noticeable dust, especially under the bed, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, it was overall a great stay at a great hotel!

This location is super convenient! If you’re in room 702 for New Years, you can see the fireworks from your window & it saved us the hassle of having to stand outside to see them. The rooms were very nice & clean. There are definitely some “step ups” that’ll get you entering the room & going in & out of the bathrooms, but we loved the decorations. The only HUGE con is the walls are made out of sandpaper. We were woken up at 2am, 6am & 8am to our neighbors hootin & hollering. The man was definitely doing his thing, but it was SO loud. You would’ve definitely thought they were in the room with us having …. Adult time. Needless to say, great location & rooms. Definitely need thicker walls.

This is an upscale hotel so I expected more from it. The room needing to be dusted. The top of the fridge was very dirty. There was no reg coffee, just decaf. I had to ask front deak for some, which isn't a big deal. It just proves housekeeping is slacking. The bed was super comfy. I liked the Roku on the tv. I was able to login to my streaming apps to watch tv. The tub had jets for a jacuzzi, but they did not work. The kitchen didn't have dish soap. I assume it was another housekeeping issue or maybe they don't provide it. Not sure. I just felt bad leaving dishes in the sink. It is very convenient having a washer/drier in the room. I was able to wash a few things and absolutely appreciate that. The deco is industrial and you get a vibe like you are in Manhattan. The room was very cozy and extremely quiet. To enter the parking garage it is by gate code. And to exit the front desk let's you out. I like the security of that. I felt good about leaving my BMW in the garage knowing it was gated and secure. I went out for the evening and arrived back to the hotel late. The front desk made you show your room card to enter. That is another layer of security I definitely can appreciate. The ladies at the front desk were all very helpful and nice. The historic history on the hotel is super cool. I would highly recommend staying here. It was convenient to the music center, easy access, and very nice.
