Sleep Inn & Suites Hwy 290 NW Freeway

I loved this hotel! I stayed here during an art festival when many of the less expensive hotels were all booked. My room was HUGE!!! It was spotlessly clean, smelled fresh, had a comfortable bed, and great water pressure in the shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, and left me alone when I didn't want to be disturbed. The hotel was quiet so I slept well and I felt completely safe there, even when returning late at night. I wish all my hotel experiences were like this one!

DO NOT BOOK HERE. The hotel engages in deceptive trade practices. The price and fees you pay online is not what’s required to book a room. You will be required to pay an additional fee when you come in that is not disclosed in the online book site. Run don’t walk somewhere else. Had to come back and add Joseph is soooo unprofessional. I left canteen and my room. I called a few hours after leaving and was advised by Joesph the person who checked me in overnight that it wasn’t found. Called later when someone else was on shift and was advised it was found. I called the following morning in my way to pick it up and Joesph again claimed he couldn’t find it. He’s extremely lazy and unprofessional. All around poor establishment decent for an emergency.

The owner of this establishment, Neil Patel, behaved in a way I found clearly rude, racist, disrespectful, and unprofessional. During my visit, I encountered multiple issues with cleanliness — the hotel rooms were filthy, and even after requesting a new room three separate times, the conditions remained unacceptable. In addition, I observed him arguing with and belittling employees, including snapping his fingers in their faces in front of customers, which came across as an inappropriate display of authority. I also witnessed him speaking negatively about his staff whom did nothing wrong. Altogether, these issues created an environment that felt highly uncomfortable and far below professional standards.

Been in two seperate rooms and both had numerous things broken. The icing on the cake was the laundry sign that says open till midnight yet it locked me out at 1120pm I told the guest service counter and all she did was say yeah I know the sign is wrong you can come back at 7am and get your clothes and she went back to talking on her personal cell phone. The laundry sign says 6am to midnight yet you refuse to fix the problem or offer a solution. I was told breakfast was eggs and bacon yet I've been here two weeks and never seen a hot food yet. Same 2 cereals offered. Save your money go somewhere else.

My boss and I stayed here 2 nights before out flight. Stayed for work after traveling around the great state of Texas. The owner of this location is very friendly, welcoming, and the pleasant to interact with. My room was actually great and the A/C was blasting. The showers were clean too. The Gym is a bit run down, but has one machine with weights that you can still get some work done in. I honestly cannot complain too much for a hotel being $50 a night. Not bad. Better than some other budget hotels. I would recommend if you're looking for a quick little stay in Houston. This place is really far from many attractions and etc though.
