So we drove all the way from Kansas city to Houston especially in the hazardous weather for a family trip. Booked the hotel did not get a confirmation or anything so just figured I’d call. Spoke to a man on the phone told me that we’d be fine to check in when we get there since we were traveling. I was like great we can finally rest when we get there. We go to check in then they say we have to wait till 11 AM to check in and have to pay a fee of 30-40 bucks. I was a little frustrated but was fine with it and went about my way waited from 9:30 to 11 AM then the lady told us our room was ready. Went to go get our card keys then the check in price went up. I was very frustrated at this point and just told her i wait cause if they’re raising the prices who knows if they would have charged our card extra without knowing etc. Then the woman told me I could not wait in the lobby and had to leave until 3 PM. We just drove 14+ hours there was no way I was leaving. Then i asked for the policy and state law to show me that we couldn't wait here then called her manager. That night went to take a shower. There was a cockroach all in it and the water smelled like bleach no pressure made my skin feel like it was on fire and the next morning we had people knocking on our door at 10 AM when checkout was at 11 telling us she needed to clean our room now even though we kept telling her we weren't ready and checkout is at 11 AM. Did not have good coffee, service, food or a good time. Room was dirty and didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping there at all after I saw the cockroaches.

I stayed here overnight during a layover at IAH and had a really good experience. The location is convenient and close to the airport. The free shuttle service was great — timely pickup both from the airport and back to the hotel, which made traveling much easier. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was basic but clean, and everything worked fine. Breakfast had a good variety — waffles, sausage, eggs, yogurt, fruit cups, donuts, muffins, cereal, bread with butter and jam, juice, milk, and coffee. A nice mix of hot and cold items before heading out.

The room was very clean (except for the crispy critter that greeted me in the bathroom this morning), and the area was quiet. That being said, I have to take away points because: 1) For a hotel as large as this one, their parking was extremely cramped, with enough parking spaces to accommodate maybe 30% of the guests. 2) The TV had very limited channel selections with no guide to refer to, and every time I tried to advance the channel it would skip 2-3 times before landing on a live one. 3) There is a $25 late-checkout fee, even for Choice Diamond members like myself. The Front Desk agent simply said that my status doesn't apply to this hotel. This visit was not as relaxing as I had hoped it to be, and unless you just need a place to sleep for one night, I can't recommend coming here.

If you decide to stay here for the main reason of convenient commuting to IAH, including: shuttle, parking, this hotel is absolutely NOT a choice. Unlike other hotels which have their own shuttle, this hotel uses 3rd-party shuttle service & they WIll NOT stand for that advertised add-on service, they tell you that they totally have no control, the wait can be one to two hours depending on the traffic etc. It’s true that they don’t t directly provide the related airport services but using it as the key appeal to guests. So what is the quality control here? Can they still have right to pick their services provider, right? What is the meaning to guests who expect to reach to IAH on time? Good luck to all of you! Wish everyone doesn’t have to deal with terrible situation as we did & with terrible customer services.

The hotel has an Ok location near the airport with several restaurants nearby. However our party had issues with several rooms. One room was OK, but dated, dont expect modern, also the shower location is odd. A second room was filled with cigarette smell, they did change the room, but they should have checked it before any guests arrived. A third room had dirty sheets. Finally, there was a small cockroach in the water cooler near the main kitchen. I would recommend to look elsewhere for accomodation.
