Sheraton Suites Houston Near the Galleria

I think I would stay again but the stay wasnt perfect. First, I wish I wouldve known that you need to check in on the app so by the time you arrive the room you pick is ready. It worked out but it was a minor inconvenience. Second, the hotel is a remod. Thats fine, but I would have hoped things like rust on access doors or shower drains that dont fit into their well properly. Also, the off/pause button on the handshower didn't work. Again, minor inconveniences. The restaurant and our waitress were amazing. The food is great. Props to our waitress that was on duty Valentines evening. The parking elevator is separate from the room elevators so be prepared for a little walk. Overall, the rooms were very clean and most staff were exceedingly helpful. There wasnt a lot of noise from neighboring rooms. The traffic in The Galleria may be bothersome for some. It took us almost 15 minutes to go less than 2 miles when we were arriving. The hotel is at the corner of a very busy intersection where traffic exiting the freeway often cuts off cars waiting in the right lane so be aware when you are entering or exiting.

I had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment I arrived, everything was top-tier — from the valet service to the entire hotel team. The experience was smooth, welcoming, and truly exceeded my expectations. I especially want to give a huge shoutout to Sarah. She made my stay unforgettable with her warm welcome, beautiful smile, and outstanding hospitality. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of, and her positive energy truly set the tone for my entire stay. Customer service like hers makes all the difference, and it’s the reason I would absolutely return. Thank you to Sarah and the entire team for such a wonderful experience!

The Chifley was an excellent hotel. Check in was easy, the Jr suite we had was upscale and accommodating. The thermostat actually worked well. The bed was comfortable and so was the other furniture. The hotel bar and restaurant are very nice and the food was good. The hotels location is excellent for the Galleria area. The staff was very friendly and easy to deal with. The hotel went through some recent renovations that were done very well.

Hilton’s servers were down from 5:30–8:00, so we were unable to check into our room during that time. The hotel provided one drink voucher for the bar, which we appreciated, but we still had to wait for the system to come back online before we could access our room. The room itself was nice, but it would have been better with a full tub instead of a shower-only setup. We were told tubs were only available in handicap-accessible rooms. We also weren’t given clear information about the difference between the grab-and-go breakfast and the restaurant breakfast, and we weren’t informed that parking was not included. We were charged $32 per night for parking. Overall, it felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed, which was disappointing given the cost of the stay. We won’t be back.

My stay was amazing thanks to Sarah. She is absolutely awesome and truly went above and beyond during my stay. She even provided a list of Houston recommendations, and every place I visited from her list was incredible. I really appreciated her hospitality and wanted to give her a huge shout-out for making my experience so memorable. I will be returning !
