Good location for Kemah Amusement park. 5 minutes to work there for save $15 parking lot fee. Inn is decent just what you will get for what you paid for. No complain from me.

I wish I could give zero or less! Booked this place for the proximity to Kemah Boardwalk, which is within walking distance from here. Almost everything is horrible here. Moldy looking curtains, sheets with cigarette burns in a non-smoking room, cracks in the tiles, and really terrible upkeep. Almost nobody answers the front desk.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Scottish Inn Kemah, and I can confidently say it was a great experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The check-in process was quick and efficient, which I truly appreciated after a long drive. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was particularly cozy, ensuring I got a good night’s sleep. I also enjoyed having a mini-fridge and microwave, which made it convenient to store snacks and heat up leftovers. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location. It’s just a short walk from the Kemah Boardwalk, where there are plenty of dining and entertainment options. Being near the water was a bonus, as I enjoyed some lovely walks along the waterfront. Overall, my stay at Scottish Inn Kemah exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly place with excellent service and a fantastic location, I highly recommend giving them a try. I look forward to returning on my next visit!

We booked here to enjoy the boardwalk on New Year’s Eve and not have to worry about driving home to try and be safe. Well that plan backfired greatly. We got a conjoined room with a couple who decided to start fighting VERY VIOLENTLY AND LOUDLY right around midnight. After awhile of this we called the front desk to inform them and also said if this isn’t taken care of we would like to checkout and be given a refund even if it was partial. The front desk lady told me she would call their room and ask them to be quiet. After waiting for about 10 minutes the fighting continued so I called back and she said she tried calling but they didn’t answer. I told her we would like to checkout and be given a refund this all occurred around 1am. She informed she couldn’t give me a refund and basically there’s nothing she can do. I understand the hotel can’t help when something like this happens but to offer NO HELP and NO REFUND even if it’s partial is beyond me. So upon checkout I asked for some type of documentation showing we checked out and the time we do so and then she told me she couldn’t and that nothing would show us checking out early and that it won’t reflect till the next day. And to top all this off we had just gotten our sick 7 year old to sleep a couple hours before the melee next door began. Something about how she couldn’t offer any help and or offer some type of documentation showing our early checkout really rubbed me the wrong way. So that was $200 down the drain and we will never stay there again. Worst hotel service I’ve ever encountered and we’ve stayed at some hotels you’d think the service would be worse at.

The service at the front desk was fantastic. He was prompt, kind, and incredibly helpful. We had a view of the marina, which was nice. There’s some construction, which was a bit loud, but really not too bad and they don’t work on weekends. As you might expect so near the water, the office and room smelled a little musty. The comforter looked like it was made of a papery material that wouldn’t stand up well to washing. Everything else was fine; it was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. Overall, the price was great for the location. You’re a very quick walk to restaurants, shopping, and all the attractions on the Kemah boardwalk. Definitely visit Lucky Stroke Putt club and Kemah Escape. Crazy Alan’s Swamp Shack is the place to eat, and feed the sting rays at Aquarium.
