Scottish Inn & Suites IAH Airport

We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The price is amazing for the area — you really can’t find anything similar nearby for that rate. The rooms were very clean and super spacious. The bed was comfortable (pillows were a bit unusual for my taste, but that’s personal preference). Important to know: the “24-hour shuttle” actually runs from 5am–11pm and only once per hour, not on demand. If you miss it, an Uber is about $15. Not a big deal, just good to be aware. Despite some reviews mentioning safety concerns, we felt completely safe. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is a decent motel for the price, and close to the airport. Very friendly desk staff--Leo was super helpful. The room was large, clean, and recently updated with fresh bathroom tile/paint/etc. There is a fair amount of road noise, but we ran the fan on the AC all night for white noise and I slept great. We left before breakfast was served. The shuttle is a service that hops to several of the smaller hotels in the area, and took a very long time to pick us up at the airport. We chose to schedule an uber back to the airport to be sure we got there on time for our early morning flight. Efficient, no frills motel that felt safe and clean.

The staffs at the front desk is nice and friendly, this is the only part that's good about this place. The room we got was totally unacceptable but due to our tight schedule I didn't have time to speak to the staffs about how dissatisfied about the room I got. 1. The floor was sticky. 2. The bathroom floor was wet when we first entered. 3. We had 3 guests that's clearly written on our booking but we got two towels. 4. The room had mold smell. 5. The toilet seat cover had one fastener broken. 6. There's no soap tray. 7. Only one large, bright, white ceiling light on top between two beds, no dimmer switch, only on or off. 8 Getting in or out of this location is a challenge with a narrow path, especially turning left onto the main road or getting to the entrance.

The hotel itself was great: Clean, modern, comfortable. Maybe the AC needs to be checked because it's very noisy, but aside from that, all good. However, the owners need to really think about their main purpose and make sure to attend that: you're a hotel next to the airport, meaning customers stay here mainly due to long layovers. So I cannot understand why you allow your "24h shuttle" service to be so bad! Examples: - In your hotel description, there is no mention of the fact that your shuttle is shared by multiple hotels. - In your hotel description, there is also no mention that the shuttles only pass once every hour to pick up people at the hotel, and that there's limited space because shuttles are shared by other hotels. So people in large groups have trouble to move together. And if the shuttle you were planning to take is already full, you need to reserve ONE HOUR EARLIER. For me, that meant 6am instead of 7am. - At the airport, two shuttles did not want to take me to this hotel because it was not on their route, as most of the other people they were taking were going to other hotels. - At the airport, the driver took FOREVER to start driving, she spent about 30min talking with other drivers, just creating drama with people, and just wasting everyone's time. - I was told twice to move to different shuttles because they preferred to take people from other hotels.

This place advertised that it has an airport shuttle. Please know that it is a shared shuttle with multiple other hotels and does not run on a schedule. We waited well over an hour for the shuttle then it drove is around for another 20 mins going to random places. The room was clean, with cold lighting. You'll need to crank up the HVAC to block out road noise. Also the parking lot light is might as well be spot lights into your room. Even when the curtains closed you will get a bright glow.
