Staying here while pregnant has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life. The staff has been incredibly kind and supportive to both my mom and me. I truly can’t imagine being anywhere else right now. Their smiles and words of encouragement, even on my hardest days, mean more to me than they probably realize. The new owners have worked hard to turn this property around, and it shows. They are genuinely trying their best to keep the hotel clean, welcoming, and comfortable for their guests. Some of the negative comments don’t acknowledge the effort being put in, but my family and I absolutely do. Thank you for helping make one of the most difficult times in my life a little more comfortable. It will never be forgotten.

I’ve been living here since September 16, 2025. While the rooms themselves aren’t great, the previous management and staff made it worth staying. They were customer-oriented, attentive, and always ready to help. Raquel, Lori, and Brandy truly cared about the people who actually live here, and it shows now that they’re gone. Many of us who reside here miss them deeply, because they made this place feel functional and human. Since the new management took over, the experience has gone downhill. The focus seems to be on upgrading the aesthetic appearance of the property, while the quality of service—especially at the front desk—has declined significantly. There is never anyone at the front desk in the mornings, which has resulted in lost packages and mail. Meanwhile, the night staff remains consistent and helpful, proving this is a management issue, not a staffing impossibility. Despite these ongoing problems, rates have increased, even though I have not received an upgraded room or improved services. It’s frustrating to see money invested in appearances while basic operations like front desk coverage and cleaning are neglected. If management invested in people the way the previous team did, this property could regain the quality it once had. Right now, the look may be improving — but the experience has taken a step backward.

I arrived at the Red Roof Inn during a system outage, and I was greeted by Raquel at the front desk. Despite the circumstances, she handled the situation with exceptional professionalism handwriting my receipt and personally walking to my room to ensure it was clean and ready. Raquel was warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. Her outstanding service made such a strong impression that I immediately booked an additional week. When I reached my room, I found it spotless and well-organized. Since I work remotely, I noticed there was no desk chair, so I returned to the front desk to ask for assistance. Raquel located a chair for me in less than five minutes. I highly recommend the Red Roof Inn Plus to anyone visiting Houston. I am thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness, the friendly and attentive staff, and the quiet, comfortable property.

The rooms are badly in need of repair. I ran the bathtub for 10 minutes and the water never got hot. There was some kind of funk inside of the lamp shade. The faucet in the bathroom was loose. No little cups even for a drink of water. Not sure the floor was clean because there's a floss pick in the corner. I guess as long as you don't mind camping it's okay. Primarily I think it's just old and run down and no one has taken care of it.

Looks good on the app or when u use the travel apps but in person it's not like the pictures. Carpet and the rooms aren't up to date , IDK but I have seen better hotels to go to, but for $44 a night, like I said a good place to lay your head for the night. I definitely don't recommend this hotel though
