Red Roof Inn Houston East

I've been staying here since last November. I see a lot of bad reviews. Hey....you get what you pay for. I stay in hotels half a year. For the price. It's great. Parking is a little hassle. Are there bugs? Yea...I've seen a couple. Nothing that'll make me leave a bad review. They clean the room everyday. That alone is good. Wifi is great. Got restaurants walking distance. The owner is super nice. Nothing but good things from him. I recommend... especially if you work on the road(you know what kind of hotels we deal with).

Absolutely disgusting. This place isn’t a hotel—it’s a roach corporate headquarters. Roaches everywhere, like they’re on payroll with benefits. I’m 99% sure I walked in on a roach staff meeting when I turned the lights on. One of them paused like, “Uh… who invited this guy?” I genuinely felt like I was trespassing on their property. Mold was absolutely everywhere—walls, bathroom, corners, probably evolving. At this point the mold has been here so long it’s paying rent, getting mail, voting in staff meetings, mentoring junior mold, and training replacements. The room smelled so bad it felt criminal. I swear the air would’ve been cleaner in the Upside Down from Stranger Things. One breath and my lungs immediately tried to quit without notice. Then there were the sheets. Stained. Not “maybe they forgot bleach” stained—more like “this bed has seen things and signed an NDA.” That was my final confirmation. I did not stay. I didn’t unpack. I didn’t sit. I didn’t even let my shadow touch the floor. I turned around and left like I’d accidentally walked into a horror movie with no exit signs. This place doesn’t need housekeeping—it needs a hazmat team, an exterminator, a priest, a shaman, and possibly the CDC. Red Roof should be absolutely ashamed to have their name attached to this biological experiment. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car, a cardboard box, the parking lot, or the Upside Down itself—every option is cleaner, safer, and smells infinitely better. -1000⭐️

Worst stay ever!! Do not stay here!! I was switched rooms twice during my very short stay here. I booked for 5 nights and they refused to refund me any of my money back but the amount of issues I had staying here I just couldn’t endure staying for a whole 5 nights! Both rooms were infested with roaches and the smoke alarm were non existent in these rooms. They have torn up furniture and covers that have holes from cigarette burns. THESE ROOMS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES WHICH IS VERT MUCH SO FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. They have a phone but not plugged in and not working whatsoever. There’s a lot of random ppl just hanging outside and some people were actually homeless asking for money. Just disappointed that I couldn’t get some of my money back based on the amount of issues and unsafe environment this so called motel is supposed to be.

Andrea at the front desk has such a pleasant customer service. The manager Nil is very profesional and housekeeping Alex did an amazing job keeping my room clean. Great experience overall.

Mr. Robert at the desk was over the top nice and super accommodating this morning. Very friendly and the room was nice and clean. It was also nice to be able to walk next door to eat at Denny’s without hassle. On top of that, the Denny’s was clean and friendly.
