This property is amazing! The apartments are a bit old but the place is also not a new build. However, they do a wonderful job with the landscaping of the property and the aesthetics are beautiful. Rachel who’s the property manager does a wonderful job with maintaining the property and follows through on everything. I had a family member move from NY and rented an apartment here until she found her forever home in #Houston and Rachel was very kind and accommodating. The pool area and Cabana we’re beautiful and the property was well kept. The laundry room was clean and cost $0.01 to wash your clothes. Amazing place so if your looking to rent in the prestigious Galleria area 2 minute walk from the mall), contact Rachel. Stay Alert & Be Safe! #SABS #CssOne

I first have to mention Rachele the property manager is what won me over and helped me decide to live here instead of the other place. I live on the Carriage Square side. The place is absolutely beautiful and the boutique style apartment homes make you feel like you are at home. I looked at so called luxury apartments that didn't have wall to wall wood plank faux flooring. The granite countertops are absolutely beautiful and they didn't miss the backsplash' s which most places do. Genuine Carrara marble floors in the kitchen and bath. Since these apartments weren't just built in the last 10 years you would expect either outdated or "ordinary" faucets but they actually took the time and money to put in high end faucets that go with the luxury of the apartment. I haven't lived here very long but the place is quiet and it is right down by the Galleria only a few blocks I believe. Walking distance to Whole foods. Honestly this has been the best experience in an apartment I have ever had so much so I asked management to give me the longest lease possible. I read the review by Lena Bell and can attest to the fact Rachelle has never in my presence made anyone feel less than a VIP. There are people that live here from every nationality and definitely African American men and women. I can name 2 that came in during my tour and the day I signed that she spoke with like they were old friends. Rachel's remembers everyone's names and a little bit about them. Some people like reviewer below blame everything on racism which I don't understand and I am definitely now white or wealthy. Getting ready to move into a townhouse at the property and have lived here for almost a year and a half. Still an amazing place

I lived on the Carriage Square-side of the complex twice, from June 2012 to October 2013, and again when I returned to the area from March 2016 to June 2017. I came back when I repatriated because I just loved it there. I've lived in a variety of different apartments in Houston and elsewhere, and I can say that I have never been treated so fairly as I have while at this complex. A common gripe of apartment dwellers is the frustration in dealing with the office staff at their complex. When dealing with the Marquee, I have NEVER had an issue that wasn't resolved promptly. I've heard multiple complaints about the seemingly curmudgeonly owner who gets on your case about everything. He may be exacting, but he's also the guy outside checking and tending to the landscaping and verifying that the awnings are cleaned properly to ensure that the place looks just incredible. The building is older, but that's part of the charm, and the care with which the building is tended makes this generally a non-issue. It is a lovely experience to walk into and out of the complex everyday. And how can you beat the location!? When the traffic gets bad, I just left the car and walked to the Galleria, to Nordstrom Rack, even to Kenny and Ziggy's when the spirit moved me! Now, I should state that I do have one major pet peeve- parking. The parking spaces on the opposite side away from the building are just too tiny to fit most cars comfortably. It would be better to allow less cars in and only park one car on the opposite side, or have every other opening with one car so that people can get into and out of the cars comfortably. Street parking is pretty safe too, just not overly plentiful! Still, if you're looking anywhere remotely near the Galleria, you'd be a fool not to at least seriously consider the Marquee. I'd still be there myself if it was an option!

I don’t usually give reviews unless I get an exceptional experience. The carriage House part of Marquee uptown is a fabulous place to live with a great location. I’ve already lived there twice and I’m moving back for a third time. The upgrades are fantastic. The landscape is professional and maintained first class. I wanna give a special five star review to Anna Assistant Property Manager, who has helped me this round getting into The Carriage House. The floor plan that I was looking for, and the only one I wanted to lease had no availability. She followed up on all expiring leases to no avail. A few weeks later I got a call from Anna who had never stopped keeping an eye out for me and a unit came available. She is thoughtful, professional, thorough, and fantastic work with. I can’t say enough about Anna and my experience working with her this third time around…😁 I don’t wanna forget Austin the Property manager she gives absolute great service as well, very professional and on her game. I’m so happy that the unit came available and I am able to move back. I’ve been looking around for weeks and found nothing that interested me. I can’t say how excited I was when Anna called. I’d give the property five stars, Anna, five stars and Austin five stars. If you’re looking for a great place in the Galleria to live, I would definitely take a look at this Property!!

I cannot stress how lovely this apartment complex is. Clean, quiet, safe location and everyone is so friendly. You get what you pay for! Austin and Ana went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with my unit as I was moving from out of state. They were kind enough to give me a virtual tour of the property, give suggestions for all the good food spots nearby, and hold my unit for a few weeks until my move in date. The application process was smooth and quick. This move to Texas was very emotional and stressful for me, so it felt almost too good to be true to be coming back home to such a beautiful, tucked away spot in Houston. I was particularly impressed with the well-cared for grounds and the quality of the apartment unit. This location is gorgeous and I love looking out my windows at all the tropical plants while I drink my cafecitos each morning. I love it here, I cannot stress it enough. Also the units are very insulated so you seldom hear anyone at all. Would I suggest this place to others? A thousand times yes. Thank you Ana and Austin for welcoming me to the complex! We are so happy to be home.
