For starters, this hotel is falsely advertised—it is a Red Roof Inn, not OYO. **I saw a guy walk out of the room as we were driving & trying to identify which door. My partner swore I was hallucinating till we walked in. Secondly, the room was filthy, and it was evident they had a roach problem. The corners and the jacuzzi were covered with dead roach legs and debris, which means they didn’t even attempt to clean it. I couldn’t tell if blood or mud stains on floors. It looked as if a simple cleaning could’ve removed it but…., The comforter( the very top layer) the towels, shower, and jacuzzi were all dirty. They knew it. The moment I called for clean stuff, the staff member responded by saying I had to bring items from the room in order to switch them out. She added that the cleaning staff was out. I always pack cleaning products when staying at hotels, but this situation was beyond my safety net. Newly renovated. While there were newly painted items, they were poorly done. The jacuzzi tub literally had debris painted into it and dried.

Run from this place. First, a damage deposit is required depending on beds starting at $50.00. I booked because of supposed good reviews and because it said they were remodeled & remodeling. So, I assumed they were pretty decent. However, the pictures do not depict the actual building inside. The lobby is closed like a bullet proof bank with windows the sitting area is uninviting. There is no one at desk behind window you have to knock and knock until someone from far away is heard saying ‘hello’. If you get room 101 the bed is literally bowed in, just awful, we slept on foot end because we were so tired since we got there after midnight. We requested to be moved and room 105 smelled of heavy smoke. Next day were offered 102 and it was a bit better, at least the bed. But all these rooms need maintenance, painting, plaster in bathrooms is peeling, outlets covered, toilet water keeps running, towels need to restocked with better ones, one hand towel was hung dirty and wet, no hair dryer available ( see picture) TV was not working and I asked front desk for help and she didn’t know what to do and asked to wait for next person on shift to help. I asked about the remodeled rooms and was told none of those are ready, so false advertising. The pictures on websites do not reflect the real thing. I have pictures to prove. Manager/Owner should go out and inspect your investment, if you really care. Pictures to prove and please don’t apologize to me but to the people booking that get scammed. We referred two other couples to this hotel since we came from out of town and wanted to stay at same site, their room smelled like smoke too. Both couples complained about conditions. Property states it is a smoke free property but it’s not.

We arrived at the OYO Hotel in Houston, Texas, and I can confidently say this is not a hotel—it felt more like a motel straight out of Breaking Bad. The neighborhood felt incredibly unsafe, with drunk people wandering around without shirts and an overwhelming presence of cigarette and weed smoke. Upon checking into what was supposed to be a hotel room, I found that it did not match the pictures online, which were misleading at best. The room was disgusting—terrible lighting, a sofa and bed covered in numerous stains, and an unbearable smell of weed and urine. The bathroom was a horror scene, and there were no toiletries provided. I was outraged by the lack of cleanliness and the state of the room. I immediately went to the front desk to complain and demanded a refund. The staff member informed me that I needed to go through the third-party booking site for a refund. After contacting them, I was only refunded half of the price. The third party indicated that the hotel had to process the full refund, but to this day, I have not received my full payment. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. The combination of the unsafe neighborhood, disgusting room, and terrible customer service made for an unforgettable but unpleasant stay

This place was horrible! When we arrived, there was nobody on the reception table and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to attend. After getting the keys, we went to our room and the first thing we saw was a pile of water on the floor. We were unsure why it was there and wiped it off with bathroom rug. Later we realized that the water was leaking from the AC. The bathroom was also not cleaned we found two dead cockroaches under the toilet bowl and the towels had hairs on them. We requested a room change which they did provide the next day. The room downstair was slightly better (no AC leak) but the towel is still dirty. We ended getting new towel from Walmart which is across the street. Also forgot to mention there was bed bugs and spider so be extremely careful before you take off your clothes. I got bitten by some insects all over my back because I took my clothes off when I sleep. In a nutshell, I would not come back to this place and would pay more for comfort and ease of mind.

This is an hourly Hotel. Very dirty, and disgusting. I rented one room for one night. I saw clear wet jelly on the night stand and on the bed. No towels. Toilet was clogged. I ask them to switch to a different room but they refused to do so. The mattress is old and bulged down. The room smells tribble. Front desk clerk are behind tinted bullet proof window and are very unfriendly. I hope you know what is an hourly hotel is for.
