Stayed here for a weekend staycation. The room was clean and quiet. The pool area was great. The jacuzzi was relaxing, and the pool is heated to a comfortable temperature. They also have a fire pit with comfortable seating. Service was friendly and requests were quickly addressed. There are plenty of restaurants close by the vicinity. Just be aware that you have to pay for parking and internet if you’re not a Marriot member. Parking is $70 for valet, $50 for garage parking across the street, and WiFi is $14 per day.

Decided on a staycation for New Years Eve with the Family. Room was ready and spotless when when we checked in. Pool area is well maintained and the kids loved it. Pool is heated and enjoyable even on a 55° day. Plenty of options to eat on the property and within walking distance. Vale was on point during my stay. Well definitely be returning for the summer time. All in all great stay, beautiful hotel with awesome hospitality

I had an enjoyable, fun, relaxing, and friendly stay at the beautiful Houston Marriott Marquis Hotel from November 16 to 19, 2025. I came to the hotel following a week-long cruise and paid for my stay with personal out-of-pocket funds. Karen, an amicable front desk clerk who did both the check-in and check-out process for me, showed great initiative. When I checked out, she asked how I liked my stay, a question I always appreciate the staff posing to me. I had a beautiful, comfortable room with a comfortable bed, a great TV system with lots of channel selections, including Showtime and YouTube, and a great view over the gorgeous pool area, a nearby park, and beautiful apartment buildings. Housekeeping did a superb and timely job in cleaning my room every day. I value daily housekeeping service. I had delicious food and friendly service from the staff in the club room. The large, beautiful lobby, and especially the large swimming pool area – decked out at this time of the year with Christmas decorations – enhanced my experience. The lazy river pool shaped in the form of Texas boundaries uniquely sets this hotel apart. What a gem in this Marriott property! I love it!

Great hotel but having to wear a wrist band for access to the pool is so unacceptable. This isn't spring break. Great rooms but half have no view of interest. Meeting rooms were nice and food fantastic. THE worst valet parking I've encountered. Waited half an hour around the block when I arrived. Meanwhile cars from the other direction waited 5 minutes and we're allowed to cut in. The turn should be blocked when the line is around the building. Then when retrieving my car there is not a way to text like other hotels. They wanted me to use a house phone but walking from the Meeting rooms on 4 to the front there are no house phones. There was a long line of people requesting their car from the attendant window and another 25 minutes wait for the car. In all, a beautiful hotel but not on my list to return.

The hotel is beautiful, very clean and the service was great, the check in staff is so nice and helpful. I loved the concert under the stars, the band played Abba tribute, so fun and classy., A very nice dressed Santa came and talked to my girls, lovely experience. But there was a couple of things that bothered me about the hotel: -Lazy River and pool: the water was cold, don't expect a warm river. I do think they warm it up a little bit but not even close to a comfortable temperature. I don't recommend during the winter months. The river was pretty empty because of that, maybe 10 people in, the hot tub was packed. It definitely takes some courage to get in the river. -The room noise level. The room main door had about a 1 inch gap at the bottom (at least my room), you could hear everything and everyone on the hall. People kept waking us up. And even we were in the 16th floor, the traffic noises still woke us up too multiple times. I need a quiet room to sleep.
