**Disappointing Decline After a Year of Monthly Stays - Will Not Return** My husband and I have been staying at this MainStay Suites location monthly for the past year while he receives treatment at MD Anderson. Unfortunately, what began as an acceptable experience has deteriorated so significantly that we will no longer be returning to this property. Our experience has progressively declined since June, with multiple serious issues: **Room Quality Issues:** - We were downgraded to inferior rooms on two separate occasions without any reduction in rate - Rooms are consistently not ready at check-in time - we've waited up to 2 hours past check-in to access our room - Roach infestation is a serious ongoing problem - Vinyl flooring is peeling throughout, which actually cut my husband's foot - Furniture is heavily stained and in poor condition **Serious Privacy Breach:** On two different occasions, the front desk gave out my personal phone number and information to Uber drivers for OTHER GUESTS' rides - even when I was not checked in at the hotel. This is an egregious breach of guest privacy and security. **Unreliable Shuttle Service:** During our last visit, the shuttle was not running despite signage at the front desk stating hourly service. After waiting 15 minutes in the lobby past the scheduled departure time, I had to ask - only then was I informed it wasn't operating. No proactive communication whatsoever. For guests relying on this hotel during medical treatment at MD Anderson, these conditions are especially unacceptable. We needed a clean, reliable, and safe place to stay during an already stressful time. This property failed to provide even basic standards of hospitality. The price point absolutely does not justify this experience. We cannot recommend this hotel and will be taking our business elsewhere.

We were really surprised how clean and cozy our suite was. The staff are amazing, It was really close to MD Anderson and restaurants. We will plan to stay there again. First hotel I have stayed in around Houston without me having an allergy issue.

It is good for a quick one night stay. Elevator was not working. Hallways were like moist hot. Bugs in rooms, didn’t even want to take a shower with the mold on some of the rims. Location was fine, service desk was nice, but probably wouldn’t stay here again, sadly.

Stayed 2 nights Oct. 25th and 26th. It was an easy check in, employees were respectful my card was acting up but the guy at the desk was patient with me and we eventually got it. I stayed in the Queen bed studio and it was please the mini kitchen, normal size fridge was very convenient. It was a pleasant set up and we did not come across and bed bugs or roaches like other people had said. The bed wasn't bad it just can use a little more softness. I would say the 1 down side (not super major) is the curtains did not cover the windows and keep out the light especially on the parking lot side. So if you are someone who cannot sleep with any type of light then ask for non-parking lot side room. While I appreciate the parking lot being very lit up for safety and whatnot that light the whole night was a little annoying. I also appreciated that there was a security guard watching over the parking lot and building. We were overall happy with it and the price day of was not bad at all as well. We would stay again.

I didn't see this hotel during the day. We were set to stay while visiting MD Anderson for the week. However, this place is in need of a serious update, which I see in comments that it is undergoing a renovation. It felt more like an apartment complex than a hotel. There was quite a lot of people hanging out in front of the hotel and in the small lobby. The hallway to our room smelled like all kinds of food. There were rooms with the room number written on a peice of paper & taped to the door. As soon as we opened our room, the roaches scurried and we made the decision not to stay. I will say that the rooms did look clean and well arranged. Hotels are very expensive these days and this is one of the more affordable accommodations. The staff/woman at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful.
