Lovely Galleria Suites by Sonder

My wife and I lived at 1900 Yorktown for more than 3 years and only moved out because work transferred me abroad, otherwise, we'd still be here because we love the community. But to provide a thorough review, let's start with some things that happened on the downside. The apartment complex is quiet and the neighborhood is safe. That said, in 3 years here, there was one car broken into in the garage and one apartment broken into. More recently, there were a couple instances where the package room was broken into and some packages stolen. After those instances, a security guard was hired to do rounds at nights and new cameras were installed at all floors. It shows management is reacting to the ocurrences, which is positive, however, a more proactive approach could've been taken to avoid them from ocurring in the first place, even if the ones at fault could've been some of the residents themselves, by leaving doors opened to strangers. The administration of the apartment complex is quite good and keeps the building in good shape, including internal (hallways, carpets, business center, gym) and external areas (gardens, pool). The only complaint here would be that the barbecue burners by the pool are often times not functioning properly. The staff is always attentive and very helpful, with a highlight to the manager Jessica, who is always very nice and helpful for any support needed. Maintenance in the apartment is also done very quickly when requested. Mike is great! The garage is covered and very spacious. The apartments themselves have good layout and are roomy, and appliances are of high quality. We searched and visited many apartments before moving in and we constantly checked the market for other options, and in the price range that it sits, it is one of the best in town balancing amenities provided and location for our needs.

When it came down to downsizing from a 3200 sf house, my husband and I looked at 69 apartments online or in person. The 1900 Yorktown was the first, and we should have just stopped looking. We chose their 1531 sf Chesapeake plan. The layout is perfect, making it seem much larger. The property is beautifully landscaped in a lovely neighborhood, and our apartment has beautiful wood floors, lots of light, a gas stove/oven, large closets, and great security. After 34 years in our lovely house, we have made this our new home. One payment and we're done! We are saving money again. Manager Jessica Gonzales has responded quickly to our requests, and Mike can fix anything. We have found all the workers to be friendly and helpful. We came on the recommendation of two friends who have apartments here, and after seeing our apartment, two other couples we know have moved in. We have enjoyed making new friends here. Is apartment living perfect? No, but neither was a home with three foundation lifts, a pool needing resurfacing, huge water and electric bills, endless repairs, and landscaping needing replacement after freezes and super-hot summers. We are very happy being home at 1900 Yorktown. Tell them we sent you.

I recently moved into Yorktown Apartments, and overall, I have been extremely happy with my experience here. The property itself is beautiful, very well maintained, quiet, and feels incredibly secure. One of the things I appreciate most is how clean everything is — the hallways, common areas, and gym are always spotless and well cared for. The secure package room is also a huge plus and makes deliveries very convenient and worry-free. The management team, staff, and maintenance crew have all been wonderful. Everyone is friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. I especially want to recognize Emily in the leasing office. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout the entire process and truly helped me find the perfect apartment. She made what can sometimes be a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable, and I’m very grateful for all of her help. Another thing I really appreciate is that this is a very quiet, non-smoking property, and management does an excellent job enforcing the community rules. They do not tolerate issues such as smoking or other rule violations, which really helps keep the property clean, peaceful, and enjoyable for residents. The only minor downsides I’ve noticed are that you do have to leave the property grounds to take dogs out to potty, and the hot water can take a few minutes to warm up. Other than those small things, this place has been absolutely wonderful. Overall, Yorktown Apartments has exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, secure, and well-managed place to live.

This review is long overdue! I moved in last year, and this has truly been the best living experience I’ve had since being in Houston. Jessica is hands down the best leasing agent I’ve ever worked with. The entire staff—from the leasing team to maintenance—is amazing. They’re responsive, professional, and consistently address any requests within 24 hours or less. One of the things I love most is the sense of community. There are residents who have been here since the building first opened, and everyone is so friendly—it really feels like a small family. I genuinely love living here… so much so that if my unit were for sale, I would absolutely buy it! Extremely satisfied.

I moved here in November of last year and highly recommend it, I haven't had one negative experience. The staff is friendly and quick to address any (infrequent) issues that we've with the unit, and the building on the whole is kept clean. I've been in a single bedroom unit previously and upgraded to a two bedroom unit, but both units are honestly incredible; hardwood floors, up to date appliances, and stone counters. The location and area is great too, with a quiet neighborhood but still close to most anything you'd want to go to in Houston. Even the neighbors are great; seems like everyone is friendly here. 5 stars well earned.
