Le Méridien Houston Downtown

The hotel gets 5 stars for the amazing service of both the front desk team, valet and restaurant. By far some of the nicest and most helpful hotel employees I’ve experienced. The only downside of the hotel js the street noise and somewhat slow elevators (or maybe they just need a 4th elevator) but I would absolutely stay there again. Highly recommend for business travelers and couples!

We stayed at Le Méridien Houston Downtown during our time in Houston. The hotel itself is stylish and comfortable, with modern rooms and everything well maintained. One of the highlights is the rooftop bar, set right between the skyscrapers. It’s a very cool spot for a drink in the evening, with a great urban atmosphere and impressive views of the Houston skyline. While downtown is convenient, we found that some of the more lively and interesting neighborhoods are a bit further out. That said, everything is easily reachable by Uber, which makes it simple to explore different parts of the city. A good choice if you’re looking for a comfortable base in downtown Houston with a strong city vibe.

Amazing hotel. Our concierge, Asyah, was incredible; she was warm, friendly and accommodating to us showing up hours earlier than anticipated. She even surprised us with a bucket of local beer upon me mentioning it was my husband’s birthday by happenstance. Our room was ready despite being early, as well as clean. The rooftop bar was the perfect ending to a great day. Highly recommend this hotel!

As a Titanium and Lifetime Platinum member, I have never felt compelled to write a formal review until this stay. Despite the premium price point, the quality has deteriorated rapidly since my last visit and is now subpar. My 19th floor suite was fundamentally non-functional: there was no hot water, and the primary door latch was broken. Already disappointed in the property, rather than waste time with staff coordinating repairs for a basic security, I had to barricade the door with a dresser. To conclude the experience, I am currently disputing random charges added to my final bill with Marriott directly. Between the physical state of the property and the odd billing practices, this stay was unacceptable for a hotel in this tier. Valet and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, however, but the property is lacking the fundamentals and needs a refresh.

I had a great stay at Le Méridien Downtown Houston. I arrived late in the morning and they let me check in early, which I really appreciated. The hotel is in a central and safe part of downtown, so it was easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful the whole time. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I had a nice view of the Houston skyline. The bathroom was spotless and everything worked well. The gym was also good. It had enough equipment for a full workout and they provided water and towels, which made it easy to use. The lobby level restaurant, Zutro and the rooftop bar/lounge, Z on 23 were both amazing places for anyone staying at or visiting the property. Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
