La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Stafford Sugarland

The rooms cleanliness and furniture are fairly decent for the price point but the AC units are extremely outdated and don’t work. It looks like the hotel has done renovations to everything except their AC unit/system. I requested another room immediately after check-in because the first room was warm/hot upon entering and the AC was already cranked up. The second room that I was given had the same issue. Even at its lowest/highest setting for cold air- it only blew warm air and the room never went lower than 78° overnight. The rooms and halls also have a smoking odor which may be ok to some but I’m sensitive to the smell. The front desk staff is super friendly (even though my room number was announced more than once on both occasions which is a severe privacy/security concern) but overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel- an AC functioning properly is essential to a comfortable stay, especially in Texas.

Hotel clerk was very friendly and helped us out big time. We had to find another hotel before which had roaches and mold in it and found this la Quinta. He let us see the room before paying for it and we paid for it right away. We being me and my two friends. Hotel a little aged because it’s from the late 80’s but they are in the process of remodeling it. I have no problem with the late 80’s charm the hotel has to it. Highly recommend staying here and thanks to the staff who helped us out!

Good experience at the hotel. Nice rooms, clean and tidy. The hotel looked good and new. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's place nice in Stafford near to Sugarland. The breakfast is good and simple with some fruits, waffles, buns, muffins and bread. The hotel is equipped with a gym and laundry. There is a ihop in front.

Two stars for old and stained bath/shower tub. Had to wipe off toilet seat. Small countertop okay. Bedding seemed over washed but room appeared overall clean. We were there for only one night. The proximity to the wedding location was very convenient. The breakfast was fair (waffles and good coffee) The eggs and sausage were not cooked well (undercooked meat, very powered eggs). All other uncooked items were available and plentiful. Overall this location could use an upgrade.

This is the worse La Quinta hotel I have ever stayed and I have been to a couple . From the entrance the whole hotels smells of cigarettes or some bad illegal non consumables or what ever it was , the room was choking with damp smell , had to open the door to the room for ventilation , carpets on the corridors are dirty and smelling , my dad stayed and checked out a day early and they refused to refund because it was pre booked , the staff were as rude as anything , I asked to speak to the manager and I was told the manager doesn’t have any other number to be reached aside what I am already calling on. The lady I spoke with literally dismissed me and said “bye”. I saw people smoking in and just outside the hotel lobby, it’s the worse hotel reservations I have had and i definitely would not be back
