Arrived from HOU. Shuttle was great. Got in and was told temporarily NO BREAKFAST. A good part of how we choose hotels and part of what we paid for. Told we can ask at the desk if someone could take us to a 'sister hotel's for breakfast, but no guarantee. We have a car coming to take us to Port at 8am. Entered room and despite being set on 71, room was warmer than outside. Husband tried to turn on TV and it didn't work. Told young man at desk and he went up while we walked to a gas station nearby to get drinks. Upon arriving back, after setting A/C at 60 it was no cooler. The TV was on, but could not change channels and no sound. Husband moved the large piece of furniture complete with refrigerator and microwave and eventually found that the cable that needed to be plugged in for remote to work was unplugged. He could then change channels but no sound. I went down yet again and we moved to another room. The hotel is filthy. The carpet is stained in public areas, the walls have holes, missing paint, mismatched paint and more. If we could get a room elsewhere we would. Totally unacceptable!!!!

We do love this place for the location by the airport and leaving our car there when we are gone. I will have to say the last 2 times we've stayed, the rooms were not very clean. This last time we had no shampoo/conditioner, no tissues (empty dispenser) and the side tables had sticky stuff on them. Hopefully they will remedy this before we stay again in a few weeks.

Made reservations through Sam's club travel to stay at LA Quinta Inn Hobby Airport for 2 nights because website states they are pet friendly. After 6 hrs. drive, we arrive and are told they are no longer a pet friendly hotel and can't stay there. Guy at front desk said he could transfer us to one of their "sister hotels" nearby that allowed pets. Well we arrived at a down graded dirty hotel that now charged us an additional $150. 00 for our pet and 100.00 refundable deposit. The only good thing about the "sister hotel" was the friendly and helpful staff. Hallways had bad smell, tubs were rusty and water stayed in a puddle and fabric chair had horrible stains and hotel was located in a sketchy part of town that made us feel unsafe. We were moved to another room but it was not any better. Horrible experience but stayed because I couldn't afford to spend any more money since I'm on a very tight budget. La Quinta Inn needs to update website to reflect no pet policy so no one else has to go through what we had to endure.

Worst customer service. We reserved online, verified that pets were allowed, paid the pet fee in advance and upon arrival were told pets were not allowed. They allowed us to stay the first night but told us they would not be refunding the $100 deposit. Upon arriving back from lunch the next day, they had locked us out of rooms and told us that we would have to leave. The manager wouldn’t even speak with us.

This place was really horrible to me....the 1st room smelled like a urinal and had bugs..when I addressed it with the front desk he said "is it bedbugs?" Idk what they are, the look like baby roaches or smaller and very dark. So he moved us to another room an it smelled as well, so I took my container of wipes and started cleaning (to make the best of the situation) the lamp stand looked stained so I wiped it and it was packed/caked on dirt. The rooms and the lobby have paint and sheet rock peeling the tub was peeling 😩 it was just nasty. The breakfast was closed down according to the front desk they failed code inspection
