I typically check the reviews before I book a hotel, but I neglected to in this case and it was a huge mistake. This hotel was incredibly run down and not well cleaned. The toilet in our room was leaking onto the floor and was constantly running, I found roaches in the bathroom, and there were crumbs all over the floor like it hadn't been properly cleaned. Both front desk staff we encountered were rude. Additionally, the TV didn't have most of the stations listed on the guide available. We didn't bother to find out how breakfast was. Find another place to stay and save your money, they certainly aren't using it on repairs or cleaning.

At first I was concerned about the condition of the hotel but the great attitude of the daytime clerk influenced me to stay and check it out. It's a very old hotel so not fancy at all, but. The room was as expected and clean as it could be for an old place. The bed was super comfortable 🙂. Disappointed that the refrigerator and microwave plugs were kinda rigged up but they worked 😜. Had a nice 4 day stay and will go back if we need a lower priced room. Daytime clerk made all the difference in whether or not I will go back. She was awesome 😎

Very dirty. The pictures online made it look like a decent place to stay. Had to wait 15 minutes for the front desk person to return from helping another guest. Got checked in and had to drive around the back to a room with the door on the outside of the building. It felt sketchy and unsafe. Got in to our room and it was dirty. Smelled like dirt/ mold. The walls were dirty. There were burn marks on the bath tub. The ceiling paint above the showers was peeling off. I should’ve just taken my kids and left but one was already half asleep from the car ride and quite honestly I didn’t want to deal with Houston traffic again. Speaking of traffic if you make it passed the less than mediocre cleanliness and want a nice quiet night, good luck! All you hear is the freeway on one side and a busy road on the other.

Hubs travels regionally so I've stayed in 5 Houston La Quintas. The one by Hobby is my favorite. Anyway, it was great for the price. I preferred this over the Marriott. Free parking, included breakfast. I loved that my kids had a separate bedroom. Location is definitely dated, which didn't bother me. Shower was little- didn't have a curved rod. I liked the bed fine. It's what I expected for the price. Breakfast had biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, sausage, and eggs plus the regular bakery goods. They have a pool. Now, I've stayed here before. My first time wasn't so good- I had a basic room. It was tiny and nothing really to remember. This time, I had a suite (not that much more), definitely worth it.

Note: My rating is only based on my interaction with the front desk. I ended up staying at a different hotel. Veronica at the front desk is amazing. She had good customer service and answered all of my questions. She also helped me book a reservation and I really appreciate it. While the front desk was great, after reading the reviews (something I should have done before booking) I decided to cancel my reservation. I really hope this hotel gets its building updated asap because that’s really where they lack.
