La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Energy Corridor

I love the hotel, it’s very clean, the staff is very accommodating and nice. The breakfast has a variety of choices hot or cold and the maid service actually mopped my room daily. I’ve stay there 2 on 2 different occasions this month, as a transition to my home. The only problem I had was with a very young lady on the night shift. There was an additional floor cooling unit that I didn’t need and I ask that she roll it out of my room. My air unit worked fine. She said that it couldn’t be moved, I would have to wait until the morning manager comes. I’m claustrophobic, and OCD, so anything making a room smaller is uncomfortable for me. She asked if I would move all my things to another room at 10:30 at night. I was very tired after being out all day, but I did. They also automatically disable your key everyday at 11:00 am, if you pay for multiple days or not, which is very frustrating.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Front desk personnel were very helpful and patient. For the price its definitely worth staying here. Youre also super close to a few eating places and stores.

From the beginning i called him inquiring on a room for the weekend and ask if there would be a deposit. I was told from the front desk manager. It depends on if you look sketchy or not, which made me uncomfortable. But reductively, I decided to give it a chance. When I got there, he was overly nice. Which made me feel a little better the lady who worked at this at night was very rude and get my personal information to someone else when I asked for my invoice. As far as the rooms very dirty i killed roaches and siverfish (bug) was in tub on arrival. No security. Hopefully, they could make this look so better. But it needs a lot of work, a lot!

The room was mostly clean except for the hunk of hair in the bathroom shower wall. The pool was closed down by the health department. The breakfast buffet had old hard boiled eggs in a some kind of cooker so that was kind of gross in the sausage tasted really weird. They also had unrefrigerated yogurt sitting out in a bowl on buffet. Same with the pitchers of juice in plastic carafes. I wouldn't expect much from this location. I stay at La Quinta inns across the country and this was probably the worst.

Problems from the beginning, I called the hotel. Asking about a deposit and the manager told me it depends on what you look like. If you look sketchy, there's a deposit. If you don't there's not. Which really wrote me the wrong way nonetheless. I went because i still wanted to give it a chance. The manager was nice to me once I got inside. But the lady that worked the night, this was very rude and not friendly whatsoever. The room was absolutely disgusting put silver fish in the tub (bug) and roach crawling up the wow as soon as I walked in! Also, there were trash and the pullout bed. The air conditioner had wood under the bottom, with a hole that let cold air in you can literally see outside! The breakfast was absolutely horrible cold boiled eggs. A few microwave sausage and bread. The only good thing I could say is it was quiet cause nobody was there...
