La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston East I 10

I had to move rooms twice due to bug infestations. German cockroaches in the first room, and fleas in the bed of the next room. It seems that most of the rooms aren’t vacuumed or dusted between guests. The staff were very friendly and understanding. However, that doesn’t make up for the itchy and painful flea bites all over my feet. There were many dogs staying at the hotel, which requires due diligence when cleaning. Would not come back here.

Upon entering my room I immediately witnessed cockroaches matured and small crawling on the walls , floor and bed. The woman at the desk was nice but very unhelpful I wanted a refund , she said management doesn't allow refunds and I would have to accept another room or forfeit my reservation , I called corporate and while on the phone she called her manager and the manager argued that the front desk couldn't process the refund... I had the front desk phone on my left ear with the manager and my hands free Bluetooth on my right ear with corporate , after several minutes the manager finally agreed to let the employee refund my reservation due to cockroaches in the room.

After a 12‑hour drive, this property provided the rest we needed. Although we don’t typically stay in large cities due to safety concerns, the secured parking and location just outside the busiest areas made us feel comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was a bit tight but clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom. The shower pressure was weaker, possibly due to being on the fourth floor, but still serviceable. As a pet‑friendly property, we appreciated the accommodations, even though the room carried a slight hint of dog odor. Ordering dinner through DoorDash was easy, and the driver had no issues delivering. While we didn’t use the hotel bar, it looked impressive, and the view was decent. Overall, this stay offered convenience, safety, and comfort, making it a solid choice for travelers needing a break in Houston.

Watch your bank account while staying, because without saying a word to you, they will charge you an incidental fee of at least $70, because a towel that was used to remove WASHABLE face paint, was deemed stained, although it washed it out the towels we still had in our room. Then, when you get frustrated, the front desk and especially the manager, will just tell you that basically, since you seem a little rude, they won't do anything to help you

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and it doesn’t smell like some of the hotels do. if you’re new to the area, they always know a good location to eat.
