I’m writing this review under my husband’s name, but I have to start by saying the service at this Hyatt truly impressed both of us. My husband was traveling to Houston and realized he had forgotten his glasses. I called the hotel to figure out the best way to send them and spoke with David. During that conversation, we discovered there was an issue with my husband’s reservation due to it being booked through his company. David immediately took ownership of the situation. He researched what was going on, made several calls back and forth, and ultimately figured everything out. His willingness to go the extra mile, his kindness, and his knowledge were so refreshing and genuinely appreciated. You don’t always see that level of care these days. I told my husband what a great experience I had with David and let him know to expect his glasses. A few days later, when I spoke with my husband again, he shared that he had a great night at the hotel bar, enjoying drinks and great conversation with one of the staff. He also mentioned meeting the manager, Stacey, and said she was just as awesome. That’s when we realized the bartender he had been talking with was David. All I can say is that this level of “good neighbor-ness,” combined with outstanding hospitality and a true commitment to going above and beyond, absolutely deserves recognition. When you put good out into the world, you get good back—and this Hyatt clearly does just that.

This hotel is wonderful!!! I enjoyed a fantastic stay during my 10 days visiting Katy/Houston over Thanksgiving. They have the most lovely and fresh breakfast bar…everything you could want for breakfast. The staff was very kind and respectful. The room was perfectly cleaned and sanitized daily. The room was just lovely, comfortable, and very peaceful. It was one of the most perfect stays in a hotel and it definitely added to the joy of my trip to Texas.

I've stayed at many Hyatt's. The reason for the one star is quite a story. We made reservations on 5 Jan for the night of 14 Jan. They advertise "pet friendly" we didn't find out that means dog friendly until 2 hours before check-in on the 14th. I completely understand, to some degree, their policy. I'm more so upset about how they had 9 whole days to tell me they couldn't accommodate me and my pets. The receptionist told me they don't check reservations until the day of. Which makes travellers like myself at the mercy of this flawed system. I had just left Eglin AFB to PCS to Arizona and was about 6 hours into our 9 hour drive to Houston when they decided to cancel our reservation. Thankfully, the Hilton down the road had rooms and they're actually pet friendly. I won't be choosing to stay at a Hyatt for a long time because of this.

Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I reserved two rooms at this Hyatt Place, but was unable to attend due to personal reasons. I called the hotel ahead of time to explain the situation, and the manager on call clearly told me it was okay, that I would not be charged, and that a refund would be issued. Three days later, I was shocked to see that I had been charged for both rooms anyway. I called the hotel again and spoke with the General Manager, Gloria Chranya, who refused to honor what her staff had already agreed to. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive, and even told me to “do whatever you want.” This is not how a customer should ever be treated—especially after being confirmed that a refund would be issued. If the hotel does not intend to honor what their managers promise, that should be made very clear. Because of the lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and refusal to take responsibility, I will never book at this location again and do not recommend it to anyone.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was unacceptable. Several amenities didn’t work, spotty WiFi and barely functioning AC, made it difficult to sleep. I asked to switch rooms, but the front desk refused. I was met with blank stares, and the usual 'fully booked' line, while the hotel parking was about 75% empty . To make matters worse, the person at the desk didn’t speak or understand English, which made resolving anything nearly impossible. A few days after check out, I found random charges on my credit card that I had to dispute. If you’ve stayed here, check your statement, this kind of shady billing is unacceptable.
