I booked a king-size bed room on Valentine's Day. Anyone with a brain would know why. But the hotel couldn't provide a king-size bed room, so we requested to cancel the reservation and get a refund. We didn't even ask for any additional compensation, but this was rejected and they said only the manager could handle it. The front desk staff was very rude. We only called the first employee twice - the first call was to inquire about cancel reservation and refund, and the second was to follow up and ask for the manager's contact information. But the second front desk employee told us that the first employee accused us of continuous harassment, so the second employee's attitude towards us was also very bad. Later, the second employee clarified that the first employee claimed to have compensated us 5,000 points, but throughout the process we only received 1,000 points of compensation from the first employee and still needed the manager's approval notification. Also, even though staff here always stating that all the things need the approved by manager and manager will reply to the email very quickly, the manager is unreachable. I have already waiting for 3 days and did not receive any feedback from their manager. In addition, the room was very dirty and the closet door was broken. There was blood on the quilt. We requested a replacement of the quilt but received no response. The cleaners merely re-laid them.

My stay at Hyatt Place Houston Galleria was absolutely outstanding, thanks to one of the most genuine and hardworking teams I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was helping with check-in, offering local recommendations, or greeting me with a smile each morning, they made me feel like more than just a guest , they made me feel at home. Equally deserving of praise is the housekeeping staff — Edith, Gina, and Lupe — who kept everything spotless and refreshed with such care and pride. Their dedication to cleanliness and comfort truly elevated my experience. And a very special mention to Queenie, whose leadership and genuine kindness shine through her entire team. It’s clear she inspires excellence, teamwork, and heart in everyone around her. This stay reminded me that great hotels aren’t just defined by their buildings, but by the people who bring them to life. I’ll absolutely be returning!! Not just because it’s a great location, but because of this phenomenal staff. Amazing place for families as well, so safe.

First time staying here, and I WILL definitely be back. Checked in, and was greeted with two wonder front desk staff members. Went to our room, and there was a huge wet spot near the window. Went back to the desk and explained the situation and they immediately put me into a different room. They were great for information on where to go for shopping and to eat. The hotel itself is kept impeccable. They are completely about hospitality. From water at the elevator entrance to every staff member being friendly and greeting. The room was fantastic. Very comfortable. Did not feel like your standard hotel room. Their daily free breakfast was the best ive ever had from any other hotel. Overall, I was very very impressed and look forward to staying here again in the future.

This was one of the most frustrating hotel stays I’ve had. The staff was consistently unhelpful and seemed either poorly trained or could not understand basic issues. Simple concerns were met with confusion, dismissiveness, or no resolution at all. The Valet was constantly backed up and the text system to request your car was down. The restrooms could also use better cleaning. For the price and expectations of this hotel, the lack of competence and accountability was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here unless management makes serious improvements in staff training and guest support.

It's ok. The staff is friendly. The gym is better than most hotels this size. The breakfast is the minimum offering. The fruit was not fresh. The berries were thawed. The time are quiet and clean.
