Lovely older but renovated Marriott with fantastic service Rita at the front desk offered an efficient and warm welcome. The lounge is amazing with hearty breakfast offerings. The room itself was on the smaller side with smaller (double instead of queen) beds. While the building itself is old, the hard product has been renovated but doesn’t look like it was thoroughly done. There are poor build elements e.g., bathroom door rollers don’t roll easily, the doors is misaligned, not a lot of sound deadening, paint is already flaking in bathroom.

Very disappointing experience at this property... The room was outdated and had a strong moldy smell. I started coughing shortly after entering the room. When I made the reservation, I clearly indicated there would be three guests, but the sofa bed was not prepared at all—no sheets, no comforter, and no pillows. When I called the front desk, I was told no one could deliver bedding and I had to go pick it up myself. Even then, they only gave me a thin blanket and no comforter, which resulted in very poor sleep quality. The check-in experience was also unpleasant. The front desk agent didn’t look up, didn’t smile, and spoke quickly and unclearly, appearing annoyed during the entire interaction. Additionally, I am still dealing with another unresolved issue with Marriott regarding a SpringHill Suites reservation that was cancelled within refund period but still hasn’t been refunded, despite multiple follow-ups. Overall, both the room condition and service were far below the standard I expect from a Marriott property. Given the noticeable decline in service and quality, I would recommend people reconsider booking with Marriott.

It's hard to start the review with anything other than a warning in regards to the hotel's location..... it is located in a very dangerous part of Houston. You will have issues getting a ride share due to the area. I was warned by multiple Uber drivers, co-workers and friends that I was in a very dangerous part of the city, going out after dark was not option and not to go off the hotel premises. All of that being said, once you are in the hotel it does feel safe. The is a very high level of very visible security on site. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and have fantastic showers. The hotel bar is well stocked and friendly staff. The food is pretty typical of any marriot location. Overall a good stay, just terrible location.

Flew in for a very short visit to see my daughter graduate as a United Airlines flight attendant. Juan Rios and Maribel were absolutely amazing. They were extremely attentive and always happy. It was a pleasure interacting with them both mornings. Ruby was fantastic during our evening at the bar. The ladies at the front desk, Miranda and Cyann were very pleasant and helpful with my forgotten items. Miranda was the happiest front desk attendant I have ever encountered.

I'm giving this location 5 stars with a caveat. The location is convenient because it's close to the airport and a lot of business-centric locations, but the general area is not what I would call safe. I don't recommend leaving the hotel for a walk or to go get food or really any reason on foot. Good news is that there is a lounge which has snacks, drinks, and coffee supplied along with an evening food service. The food in the lounge is pretty good and I have no complaints. Alcohol in the lounge is paid only - not free. The bar area just outside the lounge has decent dinner options to which you can eat there or take to your room. Prices are all reasonable and the staff is friendly. The breakfast in the M Club lounge is good. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about. You can order an omelette the way you like complementary. The rooms are clean and the WiFi is acceptable. There is no wired internet. All in all, it has everything a business traveler would want aside from being in a walkable location.
