"I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life. The staff are friendly, helpful, and, anytime I have submitted a maintenance request, I have received a prompt response. They truly ensure an optimal living environment. The grounds are beautiful, my apartment is spacious and the staff is more like family. Brenda our apt manager is kind, patient and promp as well as Ashley our assistant manager. Debby our leasing agent is on point. I've only had to put one request in once , and it was The staff is what makes my apartment a home."

I’d give 5 stars mainly because Ms. Debbie was extremely helpful, kind, and quick—she made the whole process very smooth. The building is old, and the parking garage elevators can feel a bit creepy. The hallways sometimes have a strange smell. The laundry area is a bit dirty, but okay. The gym is very good, the pool area is also great, and the view is amazing—the best view I’ve ever had. Overall, the apartment is good.

So the moving out process that I’m going through right now is so informal and unprofessional in explaining what is to be expected for payment on move out. I was late on submitting my 2 month notice for not renewing ( I planned on renewing but someone got shot a few floors up and there have been a few robberies in the garage, because they can’t keep the security gate fixed) so they put me on month-to-month for the remainder of the 2 months, but did and have not gave me any details or paperwork work to sign for the month-to-month agreement until move out. Come February I see my rent increase from 1750 (total with all utilities) to 2000. I tried calling but to get them to answer the phones is a joke, and their mailbox to leave a voicemail is full. So emailed them, only to get a response from a AI email with a price breakdown of 2 base rents for February. So of course I was like “oh that’s the mistake I’m paying to base rents that total 1750 with utilities”. Finally get a response from the manager or assistant manager (idk she is new and send us ChatGPT emails, she literally does nothing) and she says the extra 300 is the increase for the month-to-month. And I’m like “ok fine I’ll budget for next month 300, it’s fine”. Come March and the rent has increased to 2500 hundred, and I of course sent a email asking why the increase only to get Ai response breakdown, and still haven’t heard from any of the staff. Now it’s March 4th still haven’t heard back and I have to pay or there will be late fee added. But yeah DONT MOVE TO HOUSTON HOUSE. It’s ghetto, dirty, poorly maintained, and the renovations are ugly like who ever is designing the place needs to be fired. The views are to die for but not worth the unprofessionally, poorly maintained, just poor everything: from the lack of security to the laundry room and the other “amenities”. I would recommend living elsewhere. Attached is my rent breakdowns for the month-to-month and idk, you tell if this seems normal or ethical, along with the response on why the increase. And keep in mind if you are looking to move in to HOUSTON HOUSE then you can expect, poor communication, poor management, poor design, poor amenities, poor cleanliness (they have roaches), poor security, and just want your money.

My experience at Houston House with Debbie was amazing. She was slightly overwhelmed as it's a busy office but once she gave me her attention that was it. She emphasized how she had the perfect apartment for just me based off what I shared with her and she showed me a unit that blew me away with the layout and the views. I applied immediately. I can't wait to live there. :)

Houston House Apartments has a great location and the views are genuinely nice, which is a big plus. However, communication and scheduling seem to be inconsistent, as appointments don’t always run smoothly and follow-ups can take time. Management turnover and responsiveness appear to be ongoing issues, which affects the overall experience. It has potential, but improvements in organization and resident support would make a noticeable difference.
