I’d give 5 stars mainly because Ms. Debbie was extremely helpful, kind, and quick—she made the whole process very smooth. The building is old, and the parking garage elevators can feel a bit creepy. The hallways sometimes have a strange smell. The laundry area is a bit dirty, but okay. The gym is very good, the pool area is also great, and the view is amazing—the best view I’ve ever had. Overall, the apartment is good.

"I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life. The staff are friendly, helpful, and, anytime I have submitted a maintenance request, I have received a prompt response. They truly ensure an optimal living environment. The grounds are beautiful, my apartment is spacious and the staff is more like family. Brenda our apt manager is kind, patient and promp as well as Ashley our assistant manager. Debby our leasing agent is on point. I've only had to put one request in once , and it was The staff is what makes my apartment a home."

I’ve been living here for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend Houston House to anyone looking for a great place to live. Debbie was my main point of contact and made the entire move-in process seamless. She gave me a tour, clearly explained all the required documents, and provided consistent communication with follow-ups to make sure everything went smoothly. Not just Debbie, but the entire staff at Houston House has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. 10/10!

I lived at Houston House Apartments for 3 months during an internship in Downtown Houston, and unfortunately my experience was pretty disappointing overall. The biggest issue was the roach infestation. I really did not want to leave a negative review, but the problem became impossible to ignore when roaches actually followed me back to my parents home after moving out. My unit was sprayed multiple times per week at one point, so management did make attempts to address it, but this was clearly a larger building-wide issue that needs serious attention. At one point, I genuinely started sleeping with the lights on because I was tired of being surprised by roaches crawling across the floors and walls at night. That is not an exaggeration, It became a part of daily life when living there. If I was working from home during the day I would see them come from all over the place. I never kept food in the apartment and ate out for most meals, partially because I was busy with work and mainly because on the first day of being there I cooked a meal, and when I went to open the dishwasher after, they crawled all over my arm. There were also a lot of hidden fees added onto the rent pricing. The included WiFi was spotty when it worked, the AC struggled constantly, and many days the apartment stayed warm and humid instead of cold, especially when temperatures outside were high. Only one elevator worked most of the time, so it would take 10-15 minutes to go to and from the unit from the lobby. The elevators were often trashed or smelled bad, and on multiple occasions dog poop was left inside. The building also shut off water for extended periods with very short notice. The building itself had a smell that seemed to get worse every time the AC kicked on. The parking garage was extremely run down with what looked like abandoned cars throughout it. Amenities were frequently unavailable or down. The laundry situation was frustrating too. No in-unit washer/dryer meant paying around $5+ every time to wash and dry one load, and the machines did not work very well. To be fair, Brenda in management always responded to my messages quickly and genuinely seemed to try to improve my experience, which I appreciated. My unit on the 29th floor also had a really cool view, and the location was convenient for commuting downtown. Overall though, my experience felt like camping in the middle of the city — a cool-looking building on the outside, but with major issues once you actually live there.

Hi my name is Elvin I've been staying at houston house since May and I can say so far the staff has been amazing I say that because the staff here are all super nice they will DEFINITELY work with you if you act like you got some since and trust me you'll be fine one of my fave staff members are not here anymore but the rest of the staff is just as amazing and anytime I need something fixed in my unit the complex is always on the job and not to mention the great rent prices compared to anywhere else in the city if you want a nice place to live with affordable pricing great views Now with that being said the ROACHES HERE ARE A BIGG BIG PROBLEM yes rent is cheap and housing is affordable but THE ROACHES STAY HERE MORE THAN THE RESIDENTS DO and like the post before this one no matter how much you clean or keep your place clean they just keep coming I've see some units in worse shape then mine as far as pest go now it's just easy to blame it on my neighbors for the reason Ive have been seeing roaches but I think this complexe as a whole starting from the basement all the way to the 30th floor are infested with roaches I DO FEEL THE RESIDENTS NEED A BETTER EXPERIENCE AND YES SOME ARE CLENER THAN OTHERS BUT HAVING TO KILL AND WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO KILL ROACHES IS REDICULOUS DO BETTER HOUSTON HOUSE KILL THE ROACHES
