First stay and I was definitely a fan. We stayed at the JW Marriott in Houston and I'd choose this one over that one. The charges for every little thing were annoying (high required valet cost, amenity fee, credit card fee, excessive room service fees and costs, $2 for a whiskey ice cube) but all nicer hotels are like that so it's not like they're doing something out of the norm. But great atmosphere, no unpleasant or odd smells, really nice room, the butterfly headboards made it for me! Love that there's room service and a mini bar, would like to see some more room service menu options, and maybe some more upscale room service menu options to match the overall vibe and cost of the place. Would give it another go for sure!

I stay here frequently for staycations go swimming enjoy the bar and restaurant etc and it never disappoints. They upgraded my room to a stunning suite this time and it was superb. Thank you zaza! Everyone from the valet to the bartenders are just excellent. EDIT: I am updating/editing this review which was previously 5 stars. Drove in from Austin Monday to celebrate anniversary, this was clearly notated in my notes for the room. I am a ZIP Headliner / Rockstar according to the front desk a few visits ago, which apparently is the top prestige for ZAZA members. Yet since achieving this status, I’ve seen 0 benefits other than the title. 0 accommodations were made for the anniversary. No flowers, no wine/ champagne/ chocolates/ NOTHING! I looked like such a fool to my lovely girlfriend. She was great about it, but I was so embarrassed ZAZA did absolutely 0. Not sure what you all typically arrange for a special occasion like this, but I’m sure it’s above nothing. I pointed out the notes to whom checked me in as well and she acknowledged and said she would arrange something. Hopefully ZAZA will stand up and do the right thing here!

Excellent food and great service. Rooms top notch, well decorated, and clean. Valet parking is the only option and can be pricey. I-10 traffic and be hectic.

We recently hosted an event at Hotel ZaZa, and it was truly fantastic from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to deliver a flawless experience for us and our clients. The catering was exceptional — delicious food, beautifully presented, and perfectly timed. Every detail was handled with professionalism and care, making it a true 5-star experience. I highly recommend Hotel ZaZa for your next corporate event or special occasion — they will absolutely exceed your expectations!

I'm unsure what the hype is about. All hotel reviews are relative to what is available nearby, but as a European, I can't understand the appeal. If you want a hotel that overlooks a multistory carpark and noise from a motorway throughout the night, then this is for you. Just stay in a cheaper hotel near your office in the Energy Corridor with free parking and a buffet breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean. By American standards, they're modern. Rooms come with a $20 breakfast credit. Like all things in the US, there are hidden fees and a lack of transparency. A 20% surcharge is added for billing things to your room and the credit isn't offset against tax and service. Breakfast options are limited and virtually all include egg. The only plant based/ vegan option is avocado on toast/ hash browns which gets extremely repetitive. Parking is a joke. In a city where you cannot walk anywhere, and in a hotel that overlooks an empty carpark, it's unfathomable how you can charge $47 per day for parking (plus tax!). It's a rip off. It shouldn't be legal for parking to cost >1/3 of the cost of a room. There isn't anything in walking distance to the hotel beyond a couple of restaurants. You can visit the dated shopping mall if you're extremely bored. The pool is small and doesn't look appealing. The gym is OK.
