Follow up: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hotel ZaZa. As a guest, I attempted to visit the spa with my dog, Doobie, and was denied entry. While I understand that businesses may have policies regarding pets, what was most frustrating was the complete lack of follow-up afterward. A representative named Gianni Rivera personally reached out to me and stated that the situation would be investigated. Based on that conversation, I expected a response, clarification, or at least a courtesy follow-up. Unfortunately, despite being told the matter would be looked into, I never heard back from anyone. Good customer service isn’t just about handling issues in the moment—it’s about following through on commitments made to guests. Being told an investigation would take place and then receiving no communication whatsoever left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer. The property itself may be beautiful, but communication and customer care are equally important. My experience with the lack of accountability and follow-through has left a negative impression, and I hope management takes guest concerns more seriously in the future.

The hotel itself was clean, organized, with elegant holiday decoration. The service provided by all staff was impecable and respectful. When asking for accomodation, the staff was very helpful and did everything to make these were met. The rooms were clean and beautifully designed. I have mixed feelings with the toiletries provided: most of them smelled and felt good in the body and hair, but the box that had the q-tips and the round cotton pads was notisable used multiple times and ripped and the pads felt apart within the first 3 seconds and the qtip was damaged too. The location is key for this hotel as it is at walking distance of delicious restaurants, museums and parks to be enjoyed. This hotel is and incredible choice and a hotel to be considered in your top 3 if you are in town. As for the restaurant in the hotel, there is a lot to be desired as the service was too slow and the occupancy of the restaurant was low (about 40% or less with multiple waiters). From the moment we ordered to the moment the food was delivered, it it was more than 30 minutes, beberages in the beberage tray for the waiters to pick up and serve would take more than 10 minutes after asking for these. I can highly speak for the hotel, but the restaurant for breakfast, I will probably choose to eat somewhere else or make use of the complimentary stations near the elevators in each floor. These stations have a good variety of tea flavours, fruits and coffee plus additions like milk and sweeteners.

Growing up, I remember seeing their iconic bull skull on the Escalade and seeing this hotel as I drove around the area. Dream come true. I’ve had the pleasure of being able to stay in this amazing hotel! Think vibe: vintage, classy, comfy. Super friendly people. I booked through AMEX platinum and The Hotel Collection and was able to enjoy the $100 credit on their fully stocked fridge and snacks. If you’re able to get a room with a view of the parks, do it.

My recent stay at Hotel ZaZa in the Museum District was overall a very pleasant experience. The location is outstanding, directly across from Hermann Park and in close proximity to many of Houston’s cultural attractions. The property itself is beautiful and has a very distinctive charm. I found the room to be extremely clean, and the beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, which made for a very relaxing stay. I would also like to specifically recognize Chloe at the front desk. She was an absolute rockstar. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help truly elevated the experience and made our day feel special from the moment we arrived. That said, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. The property does feel somewhat dated and would benefit from renovations to bring it up to the level that its location and reputation deserve. Our room faced the street where the light rail runs, and unfortunately the noise from the tram was quite significant throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Additionally, when calling the front desk or valet, it often took quite a while for the calls to be answered, and in several cases it required multiple attempts. Overall, the stay had many positive aspects, particularly the excellent location, cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding service from Chloe. With some updates to the property and improvements in responsiveness from the service desk, the experience could be even better.

Not very impressed with the rooms. Our original room on the 10th floor was horrible, carpets dirty and patches on the carpet throughout. It felt nasty that we requested to be moved. The service however was very good. They were so kind and moved us to a very nice suite. Over all though the decor and hotel itself needs upgrading, especially to the art work on the walls. This place could really be nice with a few upgrades. Not sure why all the hype, not impressed...
