What an amazing place to stay located right in the heart of downtown Houston. Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Valet service members were exceptionally professional and courteous. Definitely will be back. Beautiful architectural landmark. Once and old bank over 100 year old legendary iconic building. We were able to check in early and check out late. Best place we’ve ever stayed !!!

Great location for an overnight. Staff was exceptional and incredibly helpful. Location is near some fun spots and right near the train. Its historic and the location has an interesting back story. Mattress was a bit soft for my taste but still enjoyed the location.

It was our first time staying at this beautifully restored hotel that used to be a historic bank, and what a gorgeous place. The décor was already set up for the holidays and looked absolutely stunning! We decided to have dinner at the bar, even though the restaurant had plenty of space. The service was friendly, sharing the stories of ghosts haunting the place. The best part was the food – super impressive. We shared a margarita pizza to start, then had the Thai salad with shrimp and the Greek salad with steak. Everything was full of flavor, but the real standout was the dressing: garlicky, bright, and unforgettable. Hands-down this was an exceptional experience. When we are back on Houston – we will stay there again.

I went the weekend of Halloween and the hotel had cobwebs, blood spatter and handprints, and a skeleton at the front desk! Lots of fun - straight out of American Horror Story! The hotel was true to its name - a vintage look, and a great bar at the center of the hotel. The bartender was very friendly and made some really good drinks. They had a complimentary shuttle to the conference I went to. The room was great with a HUGE bathroom that had a shower AND a bath. The customer service here was exemplary. I will definitely come back here.

My experience at ICON was probably average for an overnight stay. The hotel common areas are neat and clean. The rooms were clean and have the expected amenities. Did not look for WiFi, but television could have greater offerings. Parking valets can seem a little aggressive at first. Food (dinner, breakfast buffet) was good but fairly standard fare, with the buffet included in the reservation. The room views are buildings - what one might expect in downtown Houston. Cigarette butts and the lingering smell of smoke around the entrance took away from the first impression. I would stay here again if the situation demanded it (business, but not leisure).
