The stay was not bad, but it was not the greatest. When paying for a city view. I would expect most of the city but what we got was a large mural wall and then some of the city. It was pretty disappointing. Especially when paying over $200 for a night. When arriving I noticed there was no fridge. Which is very surprising. I called the front office they asked if we would like to be delivered one which was nice. But when it was delivered I guess they thought the best spot was to put it right in the middle of the hall and in front of the door, and when we asked if that’s where it would be placed. They had an attitude and had to answer as in we were dumb to ask that. Not sure why you would take the fridge out of the hotel in general. Everything seems to be a bit outdated, the couch had stains all over and the shower heads seem a bit rough with ridiculous amount of sounds when turning the water on. We just tried to make the best of it. The bar was nice and the food was great and the front desk also very kind. I personally don’t see my self ever booking again here. I would definitely bring the fridges back seems like a very important part for guests staying there.

Enjoyed my weekend stay at the Laura. Room service was always available and attended to our needs. The room itself was amazing. I loved the layout and the views. However, the room should come with a microwave and refrigerator to better serve the guests.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Laura Hotel! The hotel decor was elegant, upscale, and stylish!! They had one of the friendliest staff I've ever experienced at a hotel. I especially was delighted with my Amazing server Ms Toni! She was attentive, accommodating, and a pleasure each morning when I visited for breakfast. You all are blessed to have her on your team. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Houston and will recommend this location to anyone coming to Houston!

Otis at this location is truly AMAZING at supporting guests. The hotel itself allows pets which I didn't know prior to booking and the pool is not heated but these weren't big issues for me, just depends what you want! I went out to explore and the Houston Marquise just down the road has heated pools on the roof and is closer to a park but also much busier and frequently hosts conferences. The Laura is perfect if you want an upscale, quiet getaway in the heart of downtown!

This hotel hands down has THE BEST staff I’ve ever met! I had the pleasure of speaking with Keysha prior to my arrival and was lucky to see her upon arrival and multiple times during my stay. What a gem of a human she is! I was professionally, energetically and warmly greeted by Otis every morning as I headed to breakfast and to conference! His energy is contagious! Who needs coffee when you get to see Otis first thing in the morning. Tanisha at the restaurant was also amazing! She is so kind and detailed! Customer service at its finest! Monica is such a doll as she helped ensure I get hot water each day for my tea! And last but not least, Miss Courtney made my room sparkling each day! When I think of the staff I encountered, the words ABOVE & BEYOND and Kind and Compassionate come top of mind! Thank you all for making my stay in Houston phenomenal!
