I agree with old and musty, bad breakfast. More importantly, the staff and management under Miss Tenisha are not only not friendly but they ignore common international hotel protocols. On three occasions, one after 9 pm, a maintenance man attempted to enter the room even though the DO NOT ENTER sign was affixed to the door, This led us to fear for our safety. One of the maintenance workers who came in when my husband was not present tried to flirt with me while he was in my room and later in the elevator. I felt completely vulnerable. DoubleTree across the street is a lot better.

Our stay at Homewood Suites was fine, but it definitely left a lot to be desired. On the positive side, the location is excellent. Being right next to the Galleria Mall made it easy to find plenty of food options, and we did enjoy having a kitchen in the room. That said, the hotel itself feels pretty rundown. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were extremely flat. We ended up running the AC and the bedroom fan all night just to help drown out the road noise from outside. Our room description online said it “sleeps 4.” In reality, it really doesn’t. The pullout couch could barely fit a very petite 14-year-old, and the mattress felt about an inch thick. I had to request extra blankets just to put between the springs and the mattress so it was even somewhat tolerable. When we asked for extra pillows, the front desk told us they were completely out, so we had to take one from the bed for the pullout. We had also pre-selected a room on the 14th floor when booking. Unfortunately when the hotel ran our card, our bank flagged it as possible fraud, which caused the reservation to drop. When we arrived we were placed on the 7th floor facing the main road. I had specifically selected a higher floor to avoid the noise, so that was disappointing. Breakfast was another area that didn’t impress. We tried it the first morning but ended up going to the grocery store for the rest of our stay. Powdered eggs and paper bacon just didn’t exactly give us the kind of start to the day we were hoping for. The main lobby of the hotel always smells like bacon. In the end, it was a place to sleep for a few hours — although there was quite a bit of tossing and turning due to the beds. One final thing worth mentioning: After checkout the credit card we used for this hotel triggered fraud alerts with several charges while we were waiting for our departure flight. Thankfully our bank caught it immediately. I have no proof the charges came from the hotel, but that card was only used there for our stay, nowhere else. Just something to be aware of. Also, $23 per night for parking felt a bit steep. I know this may sound like a lot of complaining, but I’m simply sharing our experience as it was. It served its purpose for a place to stay, but overall it just wasn’t very pleasant and we likely won’t be returning.

Stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and sheets were soft. Loved having a full kitchen and separate bedroom from the living area. I had a small issue with the faucet in the bathtub, but they were on top of it and sent maintenance to deal with it quickly. Prospective guests should be aware that parking is $29 a night, I didn’t realize at the time I booked. It is the only option for parking onsite. It does give you access to a parking garage, so your car is safe and protected, it was just an expense I didn’t initially anticipate.

It's old and musky. Hall carpet smells like pet mess. Everything needs renavated. Pool was closed. Room was same quality as a budget inn. Water stains on ceiling, chipped paint threw out, questionable spots and stains on furniture but on an upside the bed was very comfortable and soft. Please upgrade to a smart TV at least. Staff was very friendly and informative.

I enjoyed my stay here & Kia at the front desk was fantastic. There isn’t anything negative to make me not stay here again but of-course we all have dislikes. Starting with the rooms, for the price they are…. This property needs major remodeling. The furniture & aesthetic gives that of an old motel & the only thing okay at breakfast was the waffle and sausage. To even pay $100 a night anywhere with outdated TVs & only cable is starting to be on the top of my checklist when searching for a hotel. As well as leaving a small item behind, I don’t like the communication. I’ve called twice and text with no update. I will say having a 24-hour pool & putting spot is pretty cool. On top of getting your incidental hold back instantly. I’ve had to wait 7-30 days before. Last but not least the area was good, as far as having a food truck & gas station next door & all you need like 10 minutes away. Again, no real complaints as to the hotel but could use certain improvements. Would definitely stay here again. Good for families.
