As an individual who travels extensively, exceeding 300 nights annually, I consistently select IHG properties as my preferred accommodation. Tonight, I am a guest at this particular Holiday Inn & Suites, preparing for the impending winter storm in Houston. I am consistently impressed by the exceptional hospitality provided. This evening, Kumar and Mary at the front desk were particularly helpful and contributed significantly to a comfortable and welcoming experience. Given my extensive hotel stays and access to numerous alternative providers, I wish to emphasize that this specific hotel is my preferred choice when visiting Houston. I highly recommend it.

Our stay at this Holiday Inn Express was disappointing overall. We booked the room online specifically because it advertised breakfast as included, which was important for our family during a busy baseball tournament weekend. When we arrived, the room itself was clean, which I do appreciate. However, the overall condition of the room was quite poor. The bedding was ripped and falling apart. I asked for a replacement, but unfortunately the second set was in even worse condition. The bathroom vanity and drawers were off track and in rough shape, and the drawers under the TV were also damaged and poorly maintained. It felt like general upkeep had been neglected. The pool was another concern. One of my son’s teammates developed a rash after swimming, and there were no towels available anywhere near the pool or at the front desk. This led to kids tracking water throughout the hotel because they had nothing to dry off with. There was also confusion regarding breakfast. At check‑in, we were told breakfast was included, consistent with what was listed on the IHG website. However, when we went to eat, we were told it was not included. After speaking with the assistant manager, who mentioned this is a common issue, we were eventually allowed to eat—but it was frustrating and inconvenient to have to address this. While the room was clean and staff was somewhat accommodating when asked, the overall condition of the property and the inconsistencies in communication made this an experience we won’t repeat. We will be back in the area again soon, but we will not be staying at this location.

I booked this hotel partly because it advertised on-site/free parking. Unfortunately, my car was broken into while parked on the property. Not just mines there was 3 other cars that was Broken into as well. There was little security presence. If you’re traveling with a vehicle or valuables, this is not a place I’d recommend. Hotels can’t control crime everywhere, but they can control how seriously they take guest safety and definitely need to have 24hr security cameras on all four corners of the building. But my stay of the hotel was great and the receptionists was very nice on the night shift.

Yasmine was super nice and helpful in the restaurant bar. Wings were great. Happy hour prices very reasonable. Derrick has always been friendly and actually remember my name as I came through the front door. Made me feel welcome

Overpriced and rude staff. Blankets had rips, room smells weird, staff was incredibly rude and the guy at the front desk is so sexist my husband noticed before I even said anything. Gym is TINY and pool/hot tub area is nasty - there is paint chipping away from all surfaces including the floor making it a hazzard, and everything is rusting. Also, hot tub was luke warm. Our room was smelly and the shower both doesn't work properly (won't fully switch from bath to shower and tub backed up after 5 minutes of showering) AND makes some crazy loud noise when you use it so I had to avoid using it during certain hours. Even the outlets are wrong - they're too loose and things you plug in just fall right out. I would rather sleep in the car than sleep here again, and I actually almost did so half way through the night. Another annoying thing is that for all the money you pay to stay here, they offer only PAID breakfast service. With there being easily over 100 hotels in the surrounding area, you can and SHOULD avoid this place. Oh AND my husband accidentally left a bag of clothing behind and they threw it out or stole it because there was nothing there when we called to ask them about it the next morning. The guy said there wasn't even a note in the system about it and it was half of my clothing for our two week trip.... so it wasnt a small bag😒 avoid this trashy facility at all costs.
